You can bring back the graffiti, the early 80s street style, and to an extent the music, but you can NEVER bring back the era in which the hip hop culture started, those who didn't live it can never understand it 100%.
It's hard to tell what Hector says at 1:05...most transcriptions I see have it as "I should be earning a medal for this." But it sounds to me like he says "YOU should be (something) for this. Anyone have any thoughts?

@ganzitoism You're a Hip Hop O.G!!! LOL! I was turned out too in the 80's growin' up. There was a kid from JAPAN who JUST MOVED to the States back in 87. And HE taught ME how to break. Dude could'nt even speak english that good, and of course his mom did'nt like seeing us hang together on the daily. Out in the lot on that cardboard. I got nice, then started taggin' by the early 90's. And by the early 2000's, I was the dopest M.C. in my town. I murdered just about everyone. This is my life.

jonnyfitz6618 2 years ago
Its a style of writing for graffiti. Kinda makes the words hard to read and it looks crazy, hence "wildstyle".
CocoLoco85 2 years ago
O right thanks! does it have something to do with breakdancing aswell or something?
jonnyfitz6618 2 years ago
No I dont believe so, just with graffiti. Check out the documentary Style Wars, its great!

ok will check it out:D cheers man!

Not to start a great debate, but this movie is way more influential than Breakin and Breakin2.
I think this was moe about how the actual culture is/was and Breakin was more about cashing in on the breakers.
