  • I got some questions about this.. Can this replace the incline bench? What is a good rep range for mass? Should you just do as many as you can in a super set with the incline bench (I also do the gilloutine press, you can look it up) and if not, can you put a plate on your back to make it harder?

  • do 30 incline push. You will see for yourself where the dif muscle groups are.

  • O.K guys, some of you have obviously never worked out more than your jaw muscles or your typing finger. Scott is correct, a decline push works your UPPER chest. It puts more influence on the UPPER. A reg push works the MIDDLE. Your chest has 3 sets of muscles. That is why you do incline, reg, and decline bench press to round out and fully develop the chest muscles. I dare you to get down on the floor and do a set of 30 reg push and the next day see what muscles hurt. when they quit hurting

  • It would be really cool if you created a series of how ever many videos and entitled them. warm up(part 1 of beginner workout.). chest workout(part 2 of beginner workout).. arm workout( part 3 of beginner workout.) . core workout. ( part 4 of beginner workout. ) ect. or if you created basic workout plan and put out a pdf file for it.

  • @lancerobrob No, other way around, it's a little confusing as decline bench hits the lower chest and incline hits the upper, but with push ups it's oppposite way round

  • @lancerobrob when you do decline push-ups you are working the upper part of the chest ... when you are doing decline bench you are working the lower part of the chest.   • I have a little story to share (regarding decline push-ups):

    It happened that I did some decline push-ups after work one day (just for kicks). Next thing I knew, some people were watching and cheering me on (which wasn't what I wanted). Then, on the urging of those guys, I had a little decline push-up competition with another guy (in which I lost).

    It was not often that I did decline push-ups, but I can tell you one thing: They KILL my lower chest!

  • Hey Scott ive noticed when i do push ups my feet tend to shake uncontrollably. Does this mean i have bad form?? Idk my form seems to be okay. Ive only been working out for a couple weeks now though.

  • @deeznuts870 it just means your lower body (legs in this case) doesnt ahve the strength your upper body does. for me my abs are weaker than the rest of my body D= so when i do heaps of pushups by the end apart from my arms shaking (which should happen since they're pushups) my abs start to shake a bit

    maybe combine your pushups with squats to give a balanced body (Y)

  • @XxTidexX1 If by upper part of the chest, you mean the clavicular head of the pectoralis major, then yes it does. But so do normal push-ups.

  • @HermanHermes normal pushups are completely on the ground, decline pushups are when you have your feet on an elevated surface

  • @HermanHermes haha silly me, i think decline pushups target the upper chest and shoulders more, and also u are using more of your own bodyweight doing declines, so u will find them more difficult than normal pushups
