@Chicagokilla17 First, george43to01 is correct. The machine he's using in the video is a joiner; which is ususally used to true the edges of a board. A planer is used to true the surfaces of boards or to make the boards thinner. It's usually self feeding and the knives (blades) aren't exposed like they are on a joiner.
@mb13972 it's not a planer it's called a jointer, but I agree with you. I've heard a story of a luthier who, while using a jointer, saw a red stripe on the wall. He had a second to wonder what it was before the pain kicked in.
