i remember hearing this same song by this same person when i was but five years old. brings me back to when i was a kid in southern california during the depression...
My wife says I leave her breathless when I play. Not romantically though. It's because she can't sing fast enough to keep up with me.I just love that beat. Don't wast a lot of time going fro note to note. Thanks so much for posting this and the beautiful shots of Victrolas and Gramaphones..
Grzegorz, Love Reser and those BANJOLISCIOUS Banjos. I like that phonograph at :43, it looks like a hatbox. Do you think the photo at 2:20 of the bathing beauties was taken in Westhampton Beach? :-) Looks like Dune Rd. to me. Thank you.
I like Leo reismans version better. But this ones not bad. Harry reser wS

I recognize Louise Brooks at :39. I have that book on her and was surprised to find out she was a Ziegfield girl at one time in the 1920's

H. G. Wells was a genius, but unfortunately a writer of fiction. I'm afraid I'll still have to look out for something else.

I did a few seconds of the Charleston and I'm now sitting gasping and enjoying Stacks's delightful "naive" singing.

Put the 78 on the gramophone.
More charming then: Put that song on YouTube again.

What a strange photo at 1:06. Looks like the "ear" of the gramophone is floating towards the woman's head where it will perch like a pointed hat.

Great Reser tune, but it's the vintage photos of phonographs that have captivated me! Thanks for the upload.
