  • By listening to this song, I use to imagine the Late Roman Empire (4-5th century, or even the Early Medieval period) with all of its changes: the depart of the people from cities to Medieval rusticality in West (Gaul, Spain, ...), the barbaric invasions, the time of the Church Fathers, although there were the last pagan writers (Ammianus, Libanius), as well.

    The Empire's power fading away - but still being a major power.

    But maybe I am too much of a history fan, I don't know... :)
