  • @sava I am talking chassis dyno numbers not engine dyno numbers. So my point still stands.

  • V8 prostock 1200hp out of a 500" engine = about 2.5hp per cubic inch

    Inline4 cyl 390hp out of a 150" engine = about 2.5hp per cubic inch

Both make peak power about the same rpm

  • @2nrsOfSpringfield competitive prostock motors make 1400-1500

  • You need to play with more then just V8s then Rich. It's not that cut and dry. I was a former record holder in allmotor so I know alittle bit more than your typical "ricer". Top Pro Stock V8 engines make the same power per cubic inch as the top Pro Stock imports. Head flow has more to do with this than just displacement

  • That launch was GREAT!!!

  • ive seen alot of civics with holes in the bumper at the track... what is the purpose of them??

  • GST, go try and tell that to the guys that run ProStock in NHRA and they will let you know real quick who the real idiot is ;). Allmotor is all about power per cubic inch, v8 or 4 banger. 10s allmotor in a full on civic street car would be like running 7s in s full on Mustang street car allmotor. Taking 17sec car to the 10s allmotor with less than 150"s is WAY harder than taking a 13sec car with 350-400"s to the 10s allmotor

  • Horsepower per cubic in means nothing.....If thats the point you have to use to make yourself believe your honda is fast, your an idiot.....

  • @95GST 10.90's and 10.80's in an 2.4L all motor street car is pretty damn quick.

  • @95GST Horsepower per cubic Inch actually means a lot. Engines That make Higher HP per Cubic inch, often breath better at Higher RPM's. Since this page is about a Honda Race, Look at the Difference between an LS Block, and a GSR. The GSR has less displacement, yet produces more Torque, because of the Engine Head Breathing at Higher RPMs. Look up how Much HP F1 Cars had between the years of 1966–1986... It wasn't just the Turbo

  • @95GST And also remember that the higher your engine revs (High HP / Liter on a Naturally Aspirated Engine| High HP / Torque on a Forced Induction Engine are great indicators) Indicate a more efficient use of Gear Ratios. A Car that utilizes High Gear Ratios, will Produce more accelerative Thrust, then a Car with Lower Gear Ratios.

That's the Reason why Our simple cars (Honda's, VW's, Nissan's etc) Compete with The Upper End Monsters you find on the street (Porsche, Supra, Etc)

  • the 2step in this video neva gets old lol

  • fire

  • Your guys are stupid, there has been many cam only camaro's running 10's, you wont see a cam only civic do that ever unless its a motor swap.

  • very impressive civic. still cool to see people building all-motor drag cars. excellent launch too by the way :)

  • That 11sec Civic (i refered to) only had 2 things done, isn't 2 less than 4?

Built by owner Turbo kit and slicks.

  • love the 2 step

  • Im sorry somehow the past 15 years have gone by without you paying attention to what was happening.

  • nigga its all about hook ups .. i can build one of these with 5 grand...

  • lol are those really steelies in da back>? daaamnn

  • So we are clear the car weighs more than it did stock (2200lbs), no fiber all metal body that runs full interior even with rear seats, it is allmotor no boost or spray and makes. A V8 would have to make 1000hp allmotor to the tire ( not the crank) to make the same house power per cubic inch as this engine.

  • yea true.

but a saying i go by is hp/liter doesnt win races it just wins awards..

that same 1000hp allmotor v8 would decimate that honda down the 1/4 mile.. and at the end of that race im sure people wouldn't be thinking about hp/l, the time slip would probably be more important.

not hating on your build but just saying..

  • LOL, that wasn't the point, and Hp/liter is what every Automotive manufacturer strives for, how have you missed that?

Oh except GM, they just keep building it bigger i guess because they cant build it better, but you know.

  • @2nrsOfSpringfield the hp of the v8 to make the same hp/ci as this depends on the size of the v8, they do make different ones ya know........

  • @2nrsOfSpringfield respect your car but that 1000hp statement is fucking retarded, and typical rice boy talk. The higher you go in displacement the more limited you are in rpm, and VE.

  • zunetrav4 you are such an idiot. first of all a civic doesnt cost 6k ..the hatchback shell is more like 600. This car is all motor and your throwing out number with NOS and shit. I can put a Kseries in a hatchback with nos and some slicks and be in the 10s and still be VERY streetable. I swear you guys go from one honda vid to another just straight hatin. Same shit happened on my video

  • ok first of all..if you want a car you dont just buy a shell..

secondly ive looked up those prices im not just pulling them out my ass.. they're unbelievable huh?

third your not gunna be in the 10's with a stock kmotor with a bottle and sume slicks.. try 13's at the most. maybe 12's with a good driver..

and i dont hate lol i just state facts..

  • LMAO! of course you look for a shell, why would buy the whole car if your not going to use it all, DUuuh!

Secondly what are all these 11 second videos of stock K's doing on YT if it's impossible?

LOL, those dont look like facts, but it does look like Hate.

  • wat motor does it have?quick civic

  • for a all motor honda thats a good time keep up the good work

  • ahahahaha oh man thats classic track humor... "and we got another alarm goin off here"... "its a black"..... "looks like a camaro..."

  • nice built man

  • props on your build

  • Is this with spray? a gutted civic is also pretty light

  • no spray.. all motor means no forced induction which is a turbo, supercharger or spray...

  • still think the civic is some rice grocery getter?

  • lol i do.. especially when i look at your used name.. this is a fully built motor with a gutted interior barely running a 10 sec pass.. there are cam only ls1 maros that run faster.. that means no bottom end work, no forced induction and no motor swaps.. im sure the whole bottom end of this civic is forged and probally extremly high compression pistons in there as well..

  • ls1 camaros are fast. but its old news hearing of fast cars that require 5.7l V8 engines with a rear-wheeled drivetrain to haul them to 10 second runs.

    now..2.4l 4 cyclinders...still naturally aspirated...front wheel drive...thats something interesting that chevys can't do.

  • totally agree! try run that v8 on half the cylinders and see what it can do! nothing!

  • no we would just have to strap a turbo to it like ALMOST all other honda's do.. and if we dont throw a turbo on then we will have to go over the whole motor just to barely get in the tens. lol

  • Civic is FWD dummy, and how much horses does an LS1 push to run 10s? Thank you..

  • wat the fuck are you talking about dumb ass... did i say this civic was rwd or awd??

and horses? i guess you mean horsepower.. so ill answer your question..: an ls1 apparently makes more power with a cam and bolt on build than a completly forged and hi compression honda motor does... and it will run faster in a way heavier car to.. lol..

dumbass... learn to read before jumping to conclusions..

  • I am saying, you can't down a civic running 10s because it is gutted and blah blah blah. It is still FWD. It can not hook like RWD cars SUCH AS cars YOU brag about.

YOU CAN NOT brag about RWD cars running times close to BUILT FWD cars. Being a RWD car is such a bigger advantage than power in this case. So PLEASE, stfu with saying bullshit about this sexy as Civic.

  • this car pulled a 1.57 60ft.. ill say thats hooking...

and it weighs like 1750 lbs...

    and its slicked down..

    and the suspensions heavily tuned...

so its not going to take much motor to get to barely break out of the 11's...

  • Bitch, stfu. You lose the argument. You can not compare a 2.0li to a 7.0li engine dude. You CAN NOT. So do not go to anymore honda videos talking about LS1, 2, 7 or any big block motor faggot. Just shut UP!

  • lol your dumb as fuck..

    7.0??

a ls1 is a 5.7 liter 346 cubic inch motor... and its a small block...

so i guess i can compare it huh... dumbass.. once you get knowledge about ALL cars ( not just hondas/imports) then you can talk shit...

  • And bitch, I was talking about the LS7. And I generalized them as the LS1 and LS2 as big blocks compared to the Honda's 2.4li. I fucking know the displacement on ALLL Chevy motors bitch. Same with Ford and a few Dogde.

But I am trying to tell you're bitch as, DO NOT go to Honda Videos and comment about how a Camaro would do this, or blah blah, your fat ass would say. YOU CAN NOT compare FWD to RWD or I-4 to V8s. Dumb bitch.

  • lol i like hondas.. i just dont like the fact that 99% of the time they take thousands and thousands of dollars to performs only just as well as a different car would for half the price and while still being streetable..

  • That's a lie. Why THEEEE FUCK you think sooooo many ppl tune Honda's sir?

Look, don't come back plz. Because I hate having to break shit down for ppl as... ignorant as you. So please, shut up now.

  • umm most people "tune" honda's because of FntF...

there are many great builds *like the one in this vid* but most of the time you could build a faster car for half the money and double the steetability... so if i were to build a honda, it would be as a second car..

  • LMAO1 when MOrons are involved it can cost a lot of money, BUT!!!! thats with any car, Honda's are Cheap to build, they ARE the new hotrods of old.

    Thats just how it is.

  • any car can be cheap to build. theres always cheap parts.

but of course a 15 yr old shell is gunna be cheap to buy. on average it normally takes less parts to build a maro. ive seen a maro running 11.9's with only 4 mods. a stall, drag radials and i think a cam and something else. its not hard to mak any car fast as long as you know what your doing..

  • Bs, 4 things on a Camaro dont make 14's go 11's, unless one of those things is a Bottle, supercharger, or a turbo, and then your still stuck with a Camaro, not fun to drive or cool.

  • obviously you dont know what your talking about. maro's run low 13's stock..

and yea i think it had either a 75 shot or a 100 shot. its on youtube sumwhere.

  • LOL! you better go tell GM they dont know how to rate their cars. 0-60, 1/4

    1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.8 14.4

    1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.7 14.2

    1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.7 14.2

    1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.7 14.1

    1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.2 13.7

    1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS 5.2 13.6

Also, keep in mind due to age they wont post those #'s any longer, so what were you saying, you dont even know about the car you're cheering for.

  • wow bro yea theres alot of 98+ maros running 13.4's with guud drivers.. and plus it didnt have a 5.2 it had a 5.7 ls1

  • opps misread your comment.. thought the 0-60 times were motor sizes..

but yea just because gm rates their cars at that doesnt mean a diff driver cant drive any faster.

and it doesnt take many mods to get into the 12's or 11's..

  • Nowadays it doesn't take much to get a Civic to do 11's either, plenty of vids all around showing just that.

    That was my whole point.

  • hell as long as you know what your doing you can run 7's down the 1/4.

there are many knowledgable civic/honda/import owners that run 12's, 11's, 10's what ever.

    same with domestics.

i dont see what this whole import-domestic thing is about..

  • I dont care either way, i hate corvettes and the fanboys that cheer for them but other than that i like it all.

It just boils down to what you want, and would you rather zip around town in a 2000lbs car or a 3400lbs car.

  • well that and wether you want a 1.8l motor or a 5.7l LS1, or bigger.

  • Not really, considering a 2.0 fells like a 5.7 in a 2000lbs. car, a 3400lbs usually still fells like a 3400lbs. even with a big engine, you still have to get 3400lbs. rolling, stopping, and turning a corner.

Bobbing and weaving through traffic is BY FAR easier in a small 2000lbs. car, and I dont think anybody in their right mind could make a real argument against that.

Atleast if you have ridin in both.

  • Yea you do make a point there. some people favor the bottom end torque of a v8 also. its all in your preferences.

  • @mr2ya A bone stock Evo IX weighing 3200lb will obliterate a "small 2000lb" car in handling. Any of them you can think of.

Also. Name one 2L 2000lb car that runs a low 13 quarter mile. Oh. That's right. None.

  • @viperman5686 Except of course "sports car motions Hb"

Which beat all the RWD cars at the event and most of the AWD cars at the event. Also, ROFL! well since this is youtube with thousands of videos showing 13's and faster im going to guess you're just a punk ass moron who cant use a search engine, like 90% of all Yt users.

  • @mr2ya Except I was talking about stock cars, jackass. Kill yourself.

  • @viperman5686 Ohhh, then your gay in that case.

BTW these where modded Evo's vs a modded Civic, so kill youself, JAckass.

  • @viperman5686 not stock, but there are plenty of sub 2.0L motors running waaaaaaay faster than 13's in heavier than 2000lb cars.

  • @savagexhaley14 Of course.

  • What is your definition of a real car? I bet it is something as dumb as defining it as a RWD car.

  • a real car is a car that doesn't take loads of money to barely dip into the 10's... a real car performs...

  • so ur sayng i can by a comaro for 15 thousand and run ten's all day or just build a civic for 6 grand and run 10's hhhmmmmmm!!!

  • first of all its spelled cAmaro...

and it would never cost 15 g's.. 8-9 at tha most..

and you act like you dont have to buy any mods..

for the camaro you can get a 150 wet kit, a cam, intake mani and drag radial and be looking at well over 500 hp with a good tune..

    150wet shot= $600

    cam = $400-500ish

    intake mani= $600-800ish

    drag radials= $400-500

add that up and thats a total of 10k even. still daily drivable a/c and all while running deep 10's

  • if its so easy why dont i see every comaro runing 10's then if it only cost like 2 grand lol

  • LMAO! Again! my friend has a stock LS turbo 325whp, ran 11.88, car could be built for 6K or less including buying the the car itself.

BTW 500whp could run 9's with the right setup, its proven all to long now.

Why are talking about stuff you CLEARLY dont know about, NOT one price has been right?

  • now for a honda

    6k for the honda

5k for the motor and swap fees

cam, tuning, turbo, boltons, and thats well over 15k not adding slicks and suspension mods..

im thinkin a camaro sounds better to me

  • LMAO! again why talk about all this if you dont know one thing about it.

And then you would STUCK with a Camaro, LOL! get your wife beater and winstons ready.

  • wow awesome launch ....keep up the good work man

  • BADASS!!!! nice and sick bro!

  • good setup mang .

  • that is one impressive launch. good job

  • anybody know da WHP???

  • 1.57 nice 60ft and they said fwd sucks.

  • i was about to say the same thing.

  • they say that because most fwd's dont/cant do that.. this is one of the few hondas that are worked on hardly...

  • @MARCD832 thats stock mustang with DR's 60' times haha. i love civic's but they will never launch for shit compared to rwd cars.

  • @savagexhaley14

I hear ya. There's really no way around it though. Sport compacts (old ones in particular) are killer for drag racing because they're so cheap. The FF layout is just a necessary evil for getting any power down at all since there's no weight on the chassis after the engine. Putting power in the rear would be even worse.

  • @savagexhaley14 ...that's also built mustang on slicks 1/4 mile time....so why worry about 60ft times.

  • @savagexhaley14 stock mustang with dr's huh...hmmm

  • its a k-series

  • fucking sick. is this a B-series?

  • Sounds like a k20

  • HOLY WACAMOLE! honda power bitches

  • Sick launch, congrats (10).

  • 1.57 60 ft! good job dude. very good job:P

  • Good work I like it.

  • whats the WHP on this civic?

  • your comment is so incorrect i dont even know where to start...it was actually about zero to 123 mph in 10 seconds

  • dude ur brain is fuckin shit...

  • fuck that was a nice launch

  • nice k

  • did he swap awd onto that bitch

  • its a 14.5/1cr allmotor K24a that runs on E85. NO No2 or turbo.

  • okay. you have my attention. heh. so what basically has been done to the car other than apparently a k24 (from the tags)?
