@9shrek oh and nobody is going to treat you bad just because you're not from Texas. Just don't say 'oh i thought everyone here were cowboys haha' they will take offense to that. It's just like saying they're rednecks. They aren't, they're normal big-city teenagers.
@SanguineBullet667 Does conservative mean they are laid back, and well mannered? Like "Yes ma'am", "No sir", "No ma'am". Because I really like people like that. Are the kids really nice? I really would like to make a lot of friends in Austin, but I don't how to act and I wouldn't know what to say. Are there a lot of fights in school? Sorry I'm asking so much... I'm just really nervous to move there. Because I don't know what to believe. But Austin TX looks like a beautiful place to live :)
@9shrek Really there's all types of people everywhere you go. Yes you're going to unavoidable meet a few jerks but that's everywhere. But you'll also meet a lot of outgoing people here. We like to be outside and running around the city doing fun stuff lol. And no I didn't mean conservative in that sense. Conservative = racist down here. But yes, there's a lot of southern hospitality without all the redneck stereotypes you assume with that.
@agenthelios sucks for you .. good for us! I've lived here all my life with the exception of 2 years. Austin is a meltingpot for the artistic and educated. we have a 46% higher education rate, more fortune 500 headquarters than any other city and a world of melded culture. Those major city knockoff brought to our front door are a calling card for the illuminated hipsters and utopian yuppies not at home any where else. We keep austin wierd. Bring the music, the food and the fun.
hows the economy here? what type of industry is striving?

@Alex231274 Austin is a very friendly city, quite diverse especially downtown (South Austin.)
Plenty of live music, mostly rock music. Lots of music festivals yearly.
Greetings from America :)
