  • Do You have Gale Gordon Episode?

  • Next Friday, the 17th, it will be exactly 50 years ago that Joseph Kearns died at age 55; his birthday was on the 12th. In fact, tomorrow, Sunday, February 12, 2012, is good ol Mr. Wilson's 105th birthday. =D

  • Is that where Doc Brown in Back to the Future got his famous quote "Great Scott" from?

Just when you think something was original, you find you someone else already done it in the past.

Just like the bible says there is nothing new under the sun.

  • Remuswolfrocket this is must a TV show that was a piece of fiction not history....and just becuase a neighborhood is predominate

  • This episode got me started collecting coins! This was my favorite show growing up.

  • Jay North was being abused by his guardians while this show was in production. The entire crew and cast knew about it and did nothing.

  • @zazozung Really?..this was one of my favorite shows growing up...what happend?..You mention Guardians instead of parents..and why didn't anyone help Jay North?

  • @Midnightryder7 I believe it was his aunt and uncle. If he blew his lines they would take him behind the set and beat him with a belt. They were also extremely rude to the other child actors, particularly the one who played the lead girl (I forget her name). She tried to be friends with Jay but the aunt and uncle blew up at her and told her that Jay was the star and he didn't associate with lesser actors.

  • @zazozung thank u for responding to my question

  • Originally telecast on January 15, 1960.

"'DENNIS THE MENACE', is presented by KELLOGG's, 'The Best to You Each Morning....K-E-DOUBLE L...O-DOUBLE-GOOD....KELLOGG'S, 'Best to You'!".

  • good ol' days...

  • Even though I have great admiration and respect for Gale Gordon; he could not match the comedy timing of jerome kearns. Kearns did while DTM was in production in 1961; and was replace by Gordon.

  • @fran9860 Gale Gordan replaced Kearns after he died on February 17, 1962, five days after he turned 55 years of age; he died of a cerebral thrombosis.

  • I wish I lived in an all white neighborhood like that. It's so clean and safe. Everyone in town knows that Mr. Wilson has a rare coin collection and no one tries to steal it. Try that in a black community.

  • I watch this on Netflix, it's funny AF.

  • oh, great scott...!

  • The show was never the same after Joseph Kearns passed away early in 1962.

Joseph Kearns was, in my opinion, one heck of a fine character actor.

  • Goes to show ya that Tom Green wasn't the first to cause a comotion in public fountains!

    XD

  • @90sAreAllThat Midnight Be Here!!!! Channel "ToonNick"!!! "Nick At Nite Classic" Coming Soon...

  • Absolutely!!!! I work in a town camp and I know most of them from the school year. Do you think it is because that many parents are two income families today? Or do you think it is because parents are wanting their kids to be their friends and don't know how to discipline their kids. I mean we have to have a parenting phone app for an Iphone!!!!

  • Did they ever cuss on this show like they do on HBO shows?

  • I didn't know Dennis could talk to dolls?

  • MR. WWWIIIILLLSSSSOOOONNNN !!

  • jay norths aunt was a nasty old hag that caused alot of stress on him while he was working on the set

  • Don't know if this has been mentioned...Can anybody tell me why everybody in that series was hired because they looked like the comic characters, except Mr. Wilson? Joe Kearns doesn't look anything like the Mr. Wilson in the comics.

  • the original dennis the menace? sweet! thank you for the uploads @Retroteevee2!!!

  • I thought Mr. Wilson was gay...

  • thank you-it's been 25 years!

  • @quickstar71 this show is a lot older than 25 yrs. its from 1959-1960.

  • @platinumpinkice yeah, but it used to be on in the early 1990's

  • @TheNoisePolluter oh, okay. but even if it was on then, in the 90s, it still wasn't 25 yrs ago.

  • @platinumpinkice No, what I meant is that the person who said they haven't seen it in 25 years hasn't watch Dennis in 25 years.

  • He's more of an angel when you compare him to todays kids.

  • Little known fact: The actor playing Mr.Wilson also played the doorknob in Alice in Wonderland

  • @Madhatter1903 I also saw him in a Perry Mason episode once.

  • @Cml725 Yeah?

  • @Madhatter1903 Yup. My mom had it on TV once and called me into the living room. "Guess who's that?" I said "MR. WILLLLLSON!" lol

  • @Cml725 LOL! XD

  • tvland sucks!

  • @joeyzaine111 season 1 dvd will be released late March by shout factory.

  • I really miss this show. This is one of my fav episodes.

  • @BurgerChefGuy you and me both bud!!! love it!

  • @flipside1545 can we at least get a dvd release or can tvland or that channel that shows patty duke please put it out

tvland in the 80s with the dobie gillis mr ed lassie bring all dat shit back

  • @illest22 Nick at Nite & TvLand are dead and gone, they will never go back to playing their old line ups. People have complained for years on their websites, without anyone listening. Better to buy the old shows or watch them here, and stop watching tvLand once and for all. That's what I did.
