  • There about 2,500 gods, which one are you talking about?

  • Some reason I hate Santa Claus and Leprechauns - little fucking bastards!!!!

  • I do not believe in a god, so there is nothing for me to hate. Also, I am fine with it, that other people have a religion and strongly believe in one. I just hate it, when people try to shove their religion down my throath... (It's really annoying!)

  • I believe in a creator..some type of scienctific force..not a God. Do I have evidence? Nope..it's what I think..(I don't have much faith in this either :P) Something MUST have created the big bang and evolution, but religion? Oh puh-leeeeeaaase, you'd rather believe in old texts than science?

My definition of religion is: unjustified outdated explainations for the unexplainable.

Why can't people choose a belief, go off, and live their life with it, not try convert everyone they see? =[

  • I don't hate god, I just don't believe in this superpowered being (so there is nothing to hate in the first place) .... and btw most of the people I know don't care about god (and don't hate him since they don't believe in him) ... but they do hates fucktards who kills in his names and who blindly believe in him without asking themself any question ... I had been endoctrinated to believe in the christian god when I was young, guess what ... I feel much better since i kicked him out of my live

  • @AnonymousQuebec81 We seem to be in complete agreement.

  • I think the appropriate adjective for this video is shit-fest.

  • @JetDubRadio Fascinating, I wonder why you feel that way.

  • @jaywolfe82 Oops, disregard that. I got the wrong end of the stick!

  • i dont hate imaginary creatures

  • @TheViolentDino Neither do I.

  • I've encountered this question many times. What I hate most about it is not just that it is an irrational, illogical question--I hate it because it is extremely condescending. Not only does it presuppose that there is a God, it presupposes that I do not believe in God because I must have been through some horrible emotional experience (poor me), and in a child-like way, I irrationally "blame God" for it, and that it is impossible that I don't believe for rational, carefully considered reasons.

  • @DandAinTac We see eye to eye on this one.

  • I laughed so hard this is ridiculous.

  • Never met him, I don't see why I would hate him

  • "Why do you hate god?" Is the dumbest question you could possibly propose to any rational human being.

The only argument I need to refute all of creationism is science, specifically the quantum theory, quantum mechanics, and the like. So many basic questions can be answered by humans LITTLE knowledge in these sciences, they've only existed for a few years now and it's already more logical and appealing than any religion, thats been around for thousands of years.

  • may i ask a question.. what do you see or think about the cross Christ was on?? what do you see up there lifted up high on a cross in your oppinion?

  • @rustydusty40 A human being suffering a horrible death. A death just as many, many other people endured in those days.

  • @Nloveru good answer..

  • @rustydusty40 What do I think about the cross in general? Or, what do I think about the specific cross that Jesus was crucified on?

    Perhaps I misunderstand...

  • @jaywolfe82 The one Jesus was crucified on..

  • @rustydusty40 The specific cross? Please show me where one could see that specific cross he was crucified on and point out the system of testing that was implemented to verify that it was that specific cross that Jesus was allegedly crucified on, and then I would be more than happy to give you my opinion on it.

  • So this would mean that anyone that was raised another religion and never once came into contact with Christianity, therefore not being able to join said religion, would be damned to Hell? I don't think so.

  • Truly there is enough information to prove the existence of God and enough to prove God does not exist. We (as the human race) will never know the truth of God if him being real until we die, or until He comes down from wherever and says "Hey guys it's me God. I'm real." I've met countless people who just go to church so if there is a God, they'll go to Heaven. You yourself should decide if you are a good person, not what you believe in.

  • @SharxCtrl //Truly there is enough information to prove the existence of God and enough to prove God does not exist.//

No, there isn't. If you think there is proof, I would ask you to first define 'proof' so that I'm sure we're on the same page.

  • @jaywolfe82

proof (noun) - Evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a fact or the truth of a statement.

    You're welcome.

  • @SharxCtrl Umm, then if that is the definition that you use, there certainly isn't enough "...information to prove the existence of God..."

  • @jaywolfe82 Well if there is a God, why doesn't he show himself to us? You say he "cares" and "loves" us yet he has never come to Earth and shown his self to us, why is that? People say that he has come to individuals but why would he only show himself to one specific person? Just so one person will keep their faith in him? Their is scientific proof to prove that the Earth is older that 4000 years old. And if God created everything and everything has to be created, who created God?

  • @SharxCtrl Are you sure this was supposed to be directed at me? I'm really confused. Are you attributing arguments to me that there IS a god? As an atheist, I'm not sure why you would think that God exists.

  • @jaywolfe82 I never directly said there is a God. I'm trying figure out that if there is a God, then who created him. I myself am an Agnostic, not an Atheist. I never said YOU hated God. I said "You", as in referring to if you were an Atheist/Agnostic, can not hate God if "you" do not believe in him. There IS enough information to go either way. He could exist, then again he couldn't. It is unknown by the human race if there is a god or not, and it will never be known by the human race.

  • @jaywolfe82 And why does he not answer everyone's prayers? I mean he is GOD ALMIGHTY he can do whatever the hell he wants. When I was younger, I used to pray to God every night. Not one of those prayers meant a thing. Countless times I have prayed to God for something and he has never answered my prayers. It's not only what I have learned on the internet about God, or what I've learned from going to church for half of my life, it's my personal experiences that have made me believe what I believe

  • @jaywolfe82 I respect your beliefs and I hope you respect mine as well, but any other Atheist/ Agnostic does not "Hate God." We simply don't believe in a deity or higher being that supposedly made this Universe or we think knowing if this "being",or whatever it is, is unknown and will never be known unless he decides to reveal himself to the human race. You can not hate something that you do not believe in. It's simple as that.

  • @SharxCtrl When did I say that I hate god? In fact, the ENTIRE video that you are commenting on is about the fact that I don't hate god. I'm not sure I see your point.

  • @vieuryan12345 do animals question why they are animals? No why because they can't we are the only living creation alive that can question and make choices. We choose to believe, we choose to have opinions, and we can choose where we want to go. That does sound like free will to me. God will not force u to believe in him, he will respect your decision. No human mind can understand the Bible without the Spirit of God. God is of Spirit and we are of Flesh. Lose your opinion n chose Christ

  • @scales633 Perhaps, once you have embraced the idea that there could be other models to understanding the universe we could have a conversation. Until then please remove yourself to the kids table the adults are talking.

  • @scales633 bullshit god respects your decision. if u believe in him, the bible says you will go to heaven. if you don't, the bible says you will go to hell. that sounds more like an ultimatum than free will. you don't have, according to the bible, "free" choice to a religion. either believe and live eternally happy, or don't and suffer eternally. hmmmmmm, i'll stick to atheism. at least i don't waste my time with an fairy tale. at least i accept the truth with atheism.

  • Hate God? How can you hate something that doesn't exist. What I hate is the perception of God. People always think they need to please "him" in order to get into heaven. And in order to do it, like in the Crusades, they killed. Will that solve anything? No. But people are too stupid and ignorant to understand that. Do I hate "God"? No. Do I hate people for creating an idea of a God? Yes.

  • Can't hate something that can't be proven!! Your unbelief in Santa Clause or Unicorns must mean that you hate unicorns, WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HATE UNICORNS?!?!?!?! Logic is a wonderful thing... USE IT!! Quit the spread of Hate!! Spread Love, Knowledge, Truth, and Understanding!!

  • I can't hate something if it doesn't exist lol I just went there.

  • Atheists don't hate god, an atheist is someone that just isn't convinced by religion. The ones that hate god are trolls.

  • poor troll video 'why do atheists hate god' >implying ''god'' or sungod or rockgod or buddha exist

  • I have to say this I am a follower of Christ and God is real, u are excercising right now in one of his gifts "free will" to believe what u want. U have to choose to believe in him, its decision that u have to make. If u don't than he will never be real to you. Say yes to Jesus from your heart not just your lips. Your soul is way to valuable to the kingdom of God to not believe. His Love is a consuming fire, and u will never go back once u encounter the Love of God, u will never be the same.

  • @scales633 According to the Bible, there is no free will. It says you get a choice, but it also says that if you don't believe in him, you go to hell and burn for eternity. So, in other words, if you believe in him, you go to heaven. If you don't believe in him (by him I mean the Christian God), you go to hell. That doesn't seem like much of a choice does it?

  • I am kinda atheist too, but I don't hate.. I don't give a shit actualy. If you want to believe in something, just do so ... but u kno - u talkin'bout Santa in the clip, let's see - if your parrent's didn't tell you he doesn't exist .. would you believe somebody on high school telling you that? ..I don't think so .. And that's the think, somebody forgot to tell the kids, it's all made up so they keep believin' when they grow up, have kids, and not tellin' them the truth again.. :)

  • If belief in Santa Clause caused people to bomb abortion clinics, mutilate little girls' genitalia, close off their minds to science and reality, and rape virgins in an attempt to cure their AIDS—you can be damned sure I would hate Santa.

You don't have to believe in the reality of something to hate the concept that demonstrably causes harm to people all over the world.

However, I do not hate religious people by default; if your faith is personal and does not cause harm, more power to you.

  • A real atheist can't hate god, simply cause a real atheist don't believe in the existence of god.

Athéists who say they hate God are not true atheists because you can not hate something that does not exist.

  • I am an atheist and I hate God because he keeps telling different people different things about who he is and how we should behave. The worst part is that he tells people that they should kill other people. I think we should leave all of the killing he wants done up to him. I mean, he did it all through the old testament, why stop now? My theory is that either he has gotten lazy or that he wants plausible deny-ability, just like a mob boss, in case any of the killings get traced back to him.

  • @fathampton Sounds like you might hate what the god's followers do "in his name" rather than the god itself. As there is no way to verify that the the god's will is being followed appropriately, as he is most likely non-existent, and there is no verifiable way to determine his will.

I would try to place my anger with those perpetuating the violence and try to steer clear of placing it with the fictitious being.

  • @jaywolfe82 I was trying to be sarcastic. I grew up Mormon and there is a passage in the Book of Mormon where God commands Nephi to kill a man. Nephi tells God he isn't comfortable with it, but God talks him into it. This always bothered me as a kid so I prayed and told God that he couldn't count on me to kill anybody for him. I told him I didn't trust myself to know for sure what he wanted and It was best if nobody ever killed anybody for God. I felt like such a coward for letting him down.

  • I also remember feeling really strongly that if I wasn't willing to be reliable for God on this that I would eventually stop being reliable for him on everything. Honestly, I have gradually lost my connection and belief in him and even though I think it is because I have simply grown more open-minded and intellectually honest, there is a little part of me that always fears I just don't have what it takes to follow him and that I gave up heaven and lost my testimony because I was unfaithful.

  • @fathampton

Its 1st Nephi 4:7-38. I just re-read it and it makes me so sad. Nephi goes through the same thoughts knowing that he has to follow this commandment or he will lose his connection with God. I just chose to give up the connection rather than risk killing somebody because I was delusional. The irony is that I know I would be "happier" or more "blissful" if I had always just blindly believed in the promises of Mormonism but I just could not make myself do it.

  • @fathampton Your right, the Ot was extremely violent and deadly( its a wonder how anyone survived). When you look at the NT you get a whole different story-god the merciful and forgiving. It is my theory that during the Disporia other cultures were curious about the Jewish faith. In order to soften the narrative some Jews( the first spin doctors?) created the NT eliminating the petty, jealious god and the idea of a choosen people. Never the less, its all mythology. I will stick to Thor thank you

  • @TheAtheistJones I can understand that. However, i recently finished a good 24 part series on the historical Jesus, presented by a historian, and a man with a doctorate in divinity. The best part was is that he ONLY dealt with what we could learn about the man utilizing only a historians approach. He openly admitted that miracles and Jesus' divinity were off the table as they are not testable. All in all I was impressed and learned a great deal about the early church.

  • @jaywolfe82 That sounds like a fascinating series. Was there much information outside of the bible to research about the man? I am on the fence about his existence although ultimately I don not think it matters. Even though I am an atheist I attend a methodist church because my wife is methodist. Take out the magic and nonsense from the sermon and you are left with a humanitarian message.

  • @TheAtheistJones Well, the sources within the Bible are historic sources, and the sources that Matthew, MArk, Luke, and John, as well as Acts and the writing of Paul were based on (known as the Q, L, and M sources), he also referenced Tacitus and Josephus. Also the Gospel of Judas and a couple other non-canonical sources.

Generally, I take the position that it doesn't matter if he did or did not exist, but if he did, he's vastly different than the man some call upon.

  • Religion does nothing but cause wars, it should be done away with lol

  • The biggest mistake that not only this video made, but generally everyone makes is assume.

  • @dylanmatheson What specifically did I assume?

  • Great vid. I think that when a christian( or any religious person for that matter) is introduced to an atheist it stirs in the christian a primal fear- that a major source of comfort is being attacked. Think of a toddler leaving a beloved blanket or pacifier behind for the first time. The disbelief of the atheist may muddy the calm waters of faith around the beliver causing a sense of hostility.

  • @TheAtheistJones Depending on the christian, but yea I think that there are christians who view our lack of belief as a direct attack on their religion.

  • I think many christians have trouble separating themselves from their god. So if you don't believe in their god they think you also don't believe in them. Atheist often take a somewhat hostile stance when talking with religious folk and I think this is due to the amount of hate an atheist receives and the amount of preaching that is done to them. After hearing so many "you are going to hell" "Jesus loves you" " The bible says so" ect you become jaded.....same story different christian

  • @Xatasha6611 I don't disagree with that assessment. I've taken the stance, now, where I metaphorically pat them on the head and gently remind them that I am an atheist and I have no god that dictates that I love my neighbors. However, I do love them. What does that say about me?

  • @jaywolfe82 After becoming an atheist I am much more at peace with myself and the world I live in. I tried to hard to believe but found it really had to shallow all the BS that came along with religion. Finally had to be honest with myself and call it as I see it.

  • @Xatasha6611 Not unlike many stories of atheists coming out of the background of religion. One day I hope to document to video my own de-conversion.

  • @jaywolfe82 Now that I am an atheist I do a lot less bad things since now they become my responsibly and I cannot get rid of the guilt by pushing it onto jesus. Heck I would say I am a better christian now than when I really was one.

  • @AllGoodInThePNW Thanks!

  • Great video. It will, unfortunately have very little effect upon the brainwashed fundies who view it though. Religion is a mental illness.

  • @Christheatheist1 I think I've begun a growth in my discussions that is moving me away from conversations with people like nephilimfree and the like. I'm more interested in people who are actually interested in discussions; not sermons.

But I agree, for most of those deeply ensconced this will do nothing, but that was never it's intended use.

  • Very well done. I'd love to mirror this (with credit clearly given where credit is due).

  • @ndrthrdr1 Certainly, I have no problem with shout outs and mirrors!

  • @ndrthrdr1 I would however, more aptly appreciate a link to the original video, but beggars can't be choosers. :-D

  • This was Really good. Many of us atheist have to deal with questions like this all the time. I've really been getting pissed at some theist over it and now after seeing this I think I'm going to take my time with the videos I make

  • @Dar0A0Nakk I'm glad I could inspire. Send any questions my way and I'll use them for future videos.

These videos are intended to garner discussion and be a simple response to simple questions.

  • @jaywolfe82 Thanks man. The last response video I did was to jezuzfreek777 and it just turned into me Ranting for 30min at him :)

  • How can I hate something that I don't believe exists? Do you hate unicorns?

  • @TheOtherSun That's a good point that I really didn't address. I was focusing more on the three aspects: Presupposition of the existence. Difference between nonbelief and hatred. And The forced divergence and Tribalism.

Honestly a question like this deserves much more, but the point of this series is to generate discussion and be short and sweet.

  • @jaywolfe82

Haha the only thing I hate is getting asked that question. XD
