if you look from far looks like a skeleton, if you look closer is a woman seated in a mirror and if you close your eyes you will see nothing, amazing cover.
One of the more underrated Nineties Classic Rock Tunes, Two Steps Behind really comes alive when it's amplified and electrified. Watch Out-Meow! In Memory of my Tabby Cat Miles! Love You Cat!
I used to jam to the last action hero sound track where it had the acoustic version of this song on it. And until now.........on january 18th at 3:28 a.m.2011 almost 20 years later, I never knew there was an electric version.
This version is much better than the acoustic version. I just like the power chords better. Def Lep kind of went soft as they got older. I liked them a lot when they used to balls to the wall rock!
The reason I'm guessing that other people like the Acoustic version is because it has touch of heartbeak. This was meant for a Swarchzenegar movie so it was supposed to have "action" in it. I still think its good
never heard this version before but it rocks! if you dont compare it to the original acoustic version and treat it as a song on its own you'll see how much of a great lep song it is!
@thunderdeed I was about to comment on the MNF thing then I saw your post. I nearly shat myself when I saw that little intro back then. I was somewhat surprised they chose TSB but I liked it just the same. I have always prefered the electric version over the acoustic. For those that never saw it, it wasn't live, it was a prerecorded little video "snippet" they did before the game. Think every MNF game that year had something different. Pretty sure I recall Kiss doing one too.
I recently pulled out RA again, this intro from the three versions is my favorite, sticks in my head like a spike! Also, MUST check out Paul Rodgers with The Law playing this same song originally, (Still Phil Collen penned)
All three are on RetroActive CD, far as I remember, and it was the past week I enjoyed it again, awesome album. Check out THE LAW with the same song originally. Bad Company lead vocalist P. Rodgers
the acoustic version for me has a little touch of heartbreak to it and helps you relate to it the electric version sends the same message with less of actually showing it and with heavier music u decide whats better but its one of the best written songs ive ever heard
this song is great! i like this version, but i think the acoustic version is a little better....

@JettRaider The acoustic version is the one that was used in Last Action Hero. They added orchestral strings by Michael Kamen for the movie.

i think they should rerecord this song, acoustic with an electric guitar solo, that would make this by far the greatest def lep song in history
ReddnekRoyalty 2 years ago
I prefer the acoustic version as it does have more meaning, but I do like the guitar opening for this version!
