Good to see Sony making new game consoles, The game with its formulaic game play, doesn't do it for me. Pixel perfect jumping even with an OLED touch screen and accelerator-tilt sensor is tedious. Sony need to open up the development environment for amateur programmers. Unfortunately Apple have shown that people will buy a closed system in large numbers so I guess there's little hope for that.

@MaTaNMezamer The 3DS's battery is about 3 hours long on full 3D, and full brightness, so this won't be any longer. Probably a lot shorter because the PSV is like 10% more powerful than the 3DS.

@EasterGhost its not going to be an issue as if there is very short time usage per charge, they always have other companies making battery extentions. I have one for my psp and it allows me to be play the psp almost all day at full brightness. I'm only going to buy one if I can use a cfw. I refuse to let Sony prohibit users from playing homebrew apps like scummvm. I mainly bought a psp just for the homebrew, all old lucas arts games are completely playable on it.

After developers will learn to push out everything out of the system the graphics will literally be the same as today's consoles. An example of something like that is Battlefield 3 for today's outdated consoles. To trick the console into running something like that on awesome graphics you need to know how the device works. They'll do it with Vita too.

this thing cost more than a ps3 which is ridiculous, sony always over price their shit like with the first ps3 which I foolishly purchased when a year or two later it went down by 100-200 bucks. It looks promising and i've never been much of a portable gamer but the price tag is high. A year or two sony will just come up with some bullcrap slim or lighter model with cheaper material like the slim ps3 and cut the price by half. god, sony is so damn greedy but I still love their hardware.

People will actually buy this unlike the PSP so Sony doesn't need to release it for PS3 to get more sales.This is probably the biggest Vita game. Sony's not stupid. They wouldn't release it on PS3 as this alone will bring in sales. I've never been a handheld gamer other than games on my old iPod touch and now my iPhone but even I'm thinking about getting one

Nice Sony. I think this is the best handheld system you guy's have made. But in new Zealand, where I live will be selling the Ps Vita Wi-Fi model for $449 and 3g and Wi-FI for $500. But I hope the price goes down till $409 till June 27 2012 because that's when my birthday is. But you guy's did a great job of inventing the best handheld so far.
