Very amateur but ok for a beginner i guess, instead of using the brush to make shadows and darken eyes you should use the burn tool, it is much easier and isn't just putting colour over the pic, also the whole opacity cracks over the image works but it will not contour the skin at all, I would suggest using something like a pic of spider veins that contours the same as the check etc. Keep practicing mate, it all comes from experiance
