Patches is too short to be a horse. He's a pony. This can be done with any horse of standard intelligence if you spend enough time and attention on them. They're a damn smart species if you bring it out of 'em. Look at what the Lippizans do. And I've seen a rodeo show horse being trained, and he's pretty impressive. I feed him sometimes on my walks, and we're buddies.
