Croatia has police special units, which are supposed to intervene in crisis situations, similar to SWAT teams in US. They were identified by reported as "special unit" and they were supoposed to slaughter all surviving chicken. This clip was aired in the main news of Croatian RTL. Sorry if technical detalis were not so precise, but these guys are considered to be sharp shooters:-)

I thought it was an odd choice of tools as well. Possibly they were using "bird-shot" types of pistol ammo in their SBRs. "Bird-shot" is like the pistol version of a shotgun shell, having most of the same components. People that live where snakes a problem carry it. Some people who carry for self defense will make their first two rounds bird-shot to "scare" a threat without a lot of bodily damage. But I wouldn't recomend that practice.
