@videogoatbird How about something from the era? On Youtube, you can type "Reflections of 1963". Two videos play clips from 100 songs that were popular during that year.
Well, I was just going by the '63 Chevy cop car and the gorgeous red '63 Pontiac convertible at 2:02-18 pulling a float. Great stuff, thanks for posting! I never lived there but have had relatives there for decades and we used to visit a lot, plus I used to work in MIller and went through Portage sometimes on the way. I do know the old cars of the 60's pretty good.
You sure this wasn't 1963? The cop car and the red Pontiac were '63 models, so if this was in '62, it must have been later than July. The new models don't generally come out til September.
@73849309378 I only went off of what was wrote on the side of the 8mm film case......Not sure? Maybe 62 was the date of the stuff taken at the beginning of the roll. Thanks for the Comment, i think I'll change the date because it sounds like you know what your talking about. later
Portage has changed alot.... were always dealing with the cops and being searched on a daily basis now... its becoming just like Gary and if you dont see it your in denial.
I grew up in Portage from 1966 to 1976..went to Jones School--was a nice town then-- I used to love going to SKIPS drive in with my parents next to the Dairy Queen!
I loved Portage when I lived there from 1970 to 1972. Corner of Lakewood and Saturn. I could hear the traffic from the Toll Road from my bedroom window. I hope this neighborhood didn't go to the dogs too? I went to Kyle Elementary 1st and 2nd grade.
I guess there isn't music more appropriately fitting for this great old footage.

@PrimalSolution Probably most music would be more fitting. I am open to suggestions if you have any in mind.

This is great. My brothers and I decorated our bikes and rode in the parade. Man has it really been that long? Thanks for the flashback.
