You shouldnt do cardio and weight training at the same time because you use 2 different energy systems in the body for weight training and for cardio. You need to put 100% effort in weight training and 100% effort in cardio and if your having to stop doing cardio and weight train your not getting the best bang for your buck. Its not bad but its not the best either. Also whats core? Your abs you mean? I dont know who came up with this new term "core training"
@fcuk9000 I agree that if ur a pro runner or pro weight lifter, you want to put 100% into each dicipline seperately. But for general fitness & strength this is perfect. Just like doing circuit training. As for core training, this refers to the whole of your midsection, not just your abs. If you solely concentrate on just your abs you'll prob end up with bach problems. :)
@thebolam85 Why not just train your back for back and train abs for abs? When your doing weight training and cardio at the same time its way less effective. Dont you want to get the best bang for your buck? Plus your using totally different energy systems in the body when your doing cardio and weight training so why train them together?
@fcuk9000 I understand your point but the exercises he recommends are bodyweight exercises, not weights. If he was saying run 5 mins on the treadmill then attempt max weight squats id agree but bodyweight exercises can be beneficial. Also circuit training is the most effeicient way to lose fat. I think this video is for prople who get bored running on the treadmill & need something to break up the monotony. Im a runner & do interval training on the tradmill so im too tired to get bored
