I don't know about what you said about expansion into Europe though, I suppose there could be a few scenarios where they could pull it off. The storyline doesn't get to that point though. So, to derail this bullshit historical/political stuff, was I the only one who was VERY disappointed by the Soviet campaign? I was expecting it to be full length and winnable, not just the handful of missions strung on the same story.
Really, it was a pretty half baked expansion. A really good one would have added full playability to NATO and the Chinese, too. Mixed up the multiplayer a lot and made the campaign more than a diversion.

The Soviet would never be capable of such a massive undertaking, occupying the United States alone would strain their resources to the extreme (but would be a vain attempt anyway), then the expansion into Europe itself would cause their military to breakdown both physically and pyscologically, its impossible to invade the world.

I don't know about what you said about expansion into Europe though, I suppose there could be a few scenarios where they could pull it off. The storyline doesn't get to that point though. In the game the Soviets only expand into Europe somewhat and occupy a small piece of American territory in and around Seattle.

@Luke94711 At start of the war the Germans had inferior tanks. Then By 1943 Their Panzers dominated and took the least casualties in the war. Their King Tiger tank was the most feared and the most powerful tank in the war. It had an almost impenetrable front armor and up to the end of the war, the allies had not introduce any effective means to counter it.

I am quite aware of the supposed capabilities of German tanks and what it says on paper, however my understanding is that it did not always work out that way. Speer complained that the full effectiveness of German tanks was compromised by the decision not to produce enough spare parts for repairing them when they would become damaged or break down. The Tiger was notorious for breaking down, slow, and consumed too much fuel. About four Shermans could successfully best a Tiger.

@Luke94711 well that is statisticly look at the story of Michael whitmann yes a Firefly did get him but he took 138 tanks( Shermans Cromwells Churchill mainly) and 132 anti-tank guns with him.
combined with that of the Eastern front
Whitmann and his crew took about
170 allied and soviet heavy and medium tanks with them.

@croatian1997 they DID an equal amount, not lost an equal amount. Russia only lost that many men because they were undersupplied and many were sent into battle without weapons. if the us had sent another 29 million men into war with no weapons, would you say the same thing?

@croatian1997 It was because of Russia the Nazi's were defeated, Germany took 80-90% of all its casualties in WWII on the eastern front. Americans are not even greatfull! If it wasnt for us it would of been you taking the 10 million soldiers dead. Russia also helped defeat Japan, the Soviet liberation of China, We defeated 1 million Japnese Kwung Tung Army, Japanese historiens credit this as one of the reasons why Japan surrendered. Not to forget Americans were too scared to invade Japan.

@croatian1997 Well If the U.S woud have used the same tactics you coud easly add a few million casualties. That said, the U.S did apply masses of resources for operations sutch as Overlord or the Island hoping in the south pacific. You also have massive strategic bombings and armament efforts before and during the war "lend lease". The Russians have themself to blame for thier huge manpower loss.
The 30 million must be a estimate of "deaths" during the war, civilans and soldiers.

So, to derail this bullshit historical/political stuff, was I the only one who was VERY disappointed by the Soviet campaign? I was expecting it to be full length and winnable, not just the handful of missions strung on the same story.
Really, it was a pretty half baked expansion. A really good one would have added full playability to NATO and the Chinese, too. Mixed up the multiplayer a lot and made the campaign more than a diversion.
