Last night I watched All That, Kenan and Kel, and Clarrisa Explains it all on teenick then I look at shows like big time sucks and Icrapy and just think to myself what the hell happened. @ajp135212 They only picked whoever was most marketable. They didn't pick anyone based on vocal skill. I'm pretty sure that out of the thousands that were sent there were people that were much better and actually can sing. but they weren't marketable. Music is about image nowadays, if you're a company that wants to rake in money and nickelodeon is one of them. Nickelodeon only picked people based on image. As deejaytai1 says, there music is as cookie cutter as it gets.

@ajp135212 Celine Dion can't either. my standards aren't set very high. a lot of the bands I listen to don't have great singers. but their vocal style fits the music just fine. if you want to hear people that can sing, then listen to Steve Perry, Brad Delp (R.I.P.), or Ann Wilson. also, one thing I forgot to mention with you trying to prove that they don't need autotune: if BTR doesn't need it, then why do they use it at all? if they don't need it, then they wouldn't use it in any situation.

Looks like their dance moves were choreographed by an 8 year old, they have NO timing or real dance skills, You only hear 1 person actually SINGING the songs (meaning NONE of them are actually singing-it's some guy nobody ever sees), the music is as 'cookie-cutter' as it gets. If they can do live acoustic performances why not do it on Nick?
You'd have more artistic integrity than being a fake-assed Backstreet Boys.
