I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about his shows (although you probably didn't listen past the 45 second mark and wouldn't realize this), but just his actions in general. He was more likely talking about stuff like charity work, such as donating large amounts of money and time to local orphanages, campaigning for Gay Rights, launching several PSA campaigns for the IAVA, and doing several tours with the ISO.
But you're probably right, he's just some self absorbed twit.
Seems that a single day of remembrance is mainly for the few that don't care one way or the other; any other time of the year. Not that anyone should have to care. I find that the act of tradition just sucks in general, mainly for that reason.
i wonder if henry rollins understands that the profit motive is the reason we have such an abundance of good things in a free society.
