When I first learned ot this beyond beautiful song, I had heard it on the Larry King show when Randy Travis poured his heart into this song... I was not only amazed that I had not heard of it before, but the fact I was weeping at the lyrics... Now Mother's Day is upon us, so the phrase, "every beautiful beat of her heart", makes me so thankful I am a mom who loves that the pain of labor brought me such joy...
Wow... really cool that Gullahorn is playing this one with Jill. This song can be sung no more passionately than by a loving husband and wife who both are part of the Bride of Christ.
For any that don't know, this song was written by Andrew Peterson and is contained in his "Behold the Lamb of God, The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ," CD. Google Andrew Peterson for more information. Too, the program is toured nationally every Christmas season. Consider catching a live performance. You will be blessed.
I don't need the book. I just need to know what tuning he's in. The low E is dropped to C but I'm not sure if it's an entire Open C tuning. I don't think so. I can figure it out if I know the tuning. Thanks!
What a beautifull testimony. The song really shows the love of a mother for a newborn child, the miracle of birth, and the special love Mary must have felt towards the Son of God, and the greatest miracle of all..
What an incredible choice of vocalists for this song. Jill Phillips...ageless in appearance yet vocally expressing the side of a stressed woman aged by the hardness only a life of longing creates...not longig for glory but longing for grace.
What a powerful song! The King who came to exchange my sin for His righteousness came not with pomp and circumstance or heralding trumpets, but as a babe, and by blood and cries.
Incredible song; I heard it played in a church in Dec. 2007 & was impressed (contrasts with the normal "sweet" words of Christmas music) but I live in Mexico so have translated it to Spanish to sing here in 08, Lord willing.
One of the best songs written to depict the birth of Christ. It gives me chills everytime I hear it! And her voice is perfection! Thanks for the video...I've added to my faves!
i met this guy who was friends with andrew peterson and he got me the instrumental, before the song was released actually, i sang it at church. it was sooo much fun to sing. i love it.
Hearing about this song is what made me buy the album along with every other AP album. This song is everything Christian music should be in my opinion.
Great song, great voice
