This song is so good. The version on calling out of context is much longer though. its more satisfying. check it out.

actually calling out of context is a fantastic album. as far as i know its a posthumous collection of some of his songs. I believe he died in 1990 leaving behind a legacy that i think is only properly beginning to be appreciated now. Arthur Russell i solute you.

For those of us who love Arthur its the voice, the groove, the words but more importantly the feeling and the haunting humility and beauty of his stripped down to the bone, nothing like it music.

Arthur Russell is my inspiration. AR's music affected me and showed me the way to go. A one off who I don't think we'll ever see the likes of again sadly. Just too far ahead of his time to be recognised at the time. Beautiful beautiful music.
