Emergency landing.....where are the fire trucks that usually escorts this aircraft on such situation?

@etrnlygr8tful I don't know. They didn't come until we stopped at the end of the runway. Then the japanese fire marshalls (i think) came and then we had to stay there for 6 hours!

I just arrived at LAX yesterday, i was at seat 01A, one of the passengers on my flight yesterday was talking about this flight. She was onboard this plane too i guess.

I was in this flight, name is Andrew Rosales, where are my friends that i met? in Saporro, I did smell a smoke i think about 4 hours in to the flight, and yes it was played down by PAL, its standard business operations. Otherwise PAL would lose a lot of revenue

and what do you mean by landing without assistance? you mean it was landed manually by the pilot?

@truly0phinoy we were stuck in sapporo for almost two days. yes It means that the plane was manually landed without any electronic help by the pilot.

this has to stop..pal mgt questioned b747 capt on his decision, why he landed the plane in sapporo instead in Narita airport...WTF? kaya nga emergency eh!!

@714daak yes- the captain said that narita, kansai, and honolulu would not let them land..... and this was the closest airport. lol :)

@nikko0752 no, I tried to film it but it was so dark outside and the aircraft lights were on so you couldnt see anything out the window.

@sirracer No this was a 100% real emergency landing, I just didnt film the parking at the remote parking area.(with ALL the emergency vehicles) Plus, isnt Sapporo not a Philippine airlines destination anyway???

@sirracer u can search it over google... though u may feel that the plane landed like nothing happened, but it was actually an emergency.

@sirracer This isn't fake, i was one of the passengers of this flight.. this was a big hassle for everyone in the plane, and for that we have only been given $150 voucher for the next time you fly PAL.. hahaha.. this was memorable!!!
