I realise this video is dated, I still wish to provide feedback. I found Mlle Vipond's statements as well stated and understandable. I agree with her analysis of the issue at hand. I noted that another comment-submitter, maidinNovaScotia was critical of the scholarship for the statements made. I believe that when citizens find fault, inconsistancy or shortcoming, the citizen should express themselves to those elected to office. In this manner, muttering beneath ones breath is eliminated.
'ONE CANADA' for All Canadians or it gets divided as Canadians are witnessing.
Canadian government has no legitimacy and is not truely democratic. I agree with much of what you say. Canadian leadership needs to show some discipline.
To Repeat: STOP appeasement politics with Quebec. LET QUEBEC GO. We should respect their quest for sovereignty. No special concessions. All Canadians deserve to be treated equally.

Thanks so much for the comment, and I'm glad you agree with my view. I think it is negligent that this issue has not been dealt with. Quebec MUST be brought on board with the constitution, otherwise the document loses all legitimacy. I as well was surprised to see how many people in this contest felt this issue should NOT be addressed NOW (you can also check out my questions to Meg Wilcox on this issue). Hi Julienne, This is a well thought out argument. However note the advice on the CBC website, they want you to keep all of your responses down to 1 minute.
@madeinNovaScotia - How could this be a "well thought out argument" ? If Ms. Vipond had ever read the Constitution or studied Constitutional law, it would be apparent to her that she is regurgitating NOT constitutional facts, but POLITICAL PROPAGANDA passed off as facts. Would someone ignorant of hockey or baseball rules or of how to drive pontificate on video about how to play or drive?

I like your point of view. I totally agree with you when you said that the actual politicians are scared of this debate...
I was kind of sad of the answers of others. Most of them seem to do not understand how it is important NOT ONLY FOR QC BUT FOR CANADA.
