i've been going to the mage college in winterhold, and all of the last 3 times i've been there, i've been ambushed by a dragon, i've slayed everyone of them. So much so for random spawning of dragons.
easiest way to find the walls talk to Angreir and ask "have you located any words of power?" and use shouts inside cities and couriers will show up with "letter from a friend" pointing you towards the walls.
@predator12498 just go north of winterhold and youll eventually see a small boat and a little door on a small icy island and go inside n get the quest (daedric quest) from the guy and during the quest u get the scroll.

Hello ther im a legendary player in Skyrim and i can tell you that troll weapons does 72 damage but if they hit you whit up smash, you will fly over the map and when you are on top of the map you have gravity. The only bad tthing about it, is that youre dead.
by the way people ive got a tip! do u no the skeleton book glitch where u enter the skelton itll respawn and is worth 50 coins dont let it respawn on the skeleton more than 30 or just over cause my tv just glitched out big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WEAK! Ive just gotten through using my Strategy guide(collectors) to cross reference where the shout I want are and marked them on the map that came with the guide. Now I can get the words I want first, then tackle most of the main questline(Many dragon encounters) to get the power.

@117starpower yeah but you need those dragon souls to unlock your new shouts so i get why there is a dragon at every dragon table, the dragons that piss me off are the random dragons that attack you at the worst moments and in the middle of nowhere
My theory a while back worked! Ive gotton tons of shouts with no dragon fights! Even kicked te hell out of krosis! But i cant use the houts as i have no souls -.-
@NotCasuals The shouts are different for the games, they never have a specific spot, say you start a new game, at one location it's highly likely it won't be the same shout as last time.
@npzues Dude, there are many shouts in dungeons and other places. He was just showing us most (or all) of the ones that are easily accessible and outside (i.e. those with teh dragon head icon)
this did help me alot but if i could add one thing with sounding like a asshole butttttttt, there are words of power in some dugeons maybe make video =D (video idea) XD
those damn dragons are nothing but a pain in the ass>:( everytime i get to a dragon table there is a freaking dragon waiting for me so i have to kill countless of dragons

@117starpower you know i have had the game for about a week and i cannot find a single dragon or dragon shout. All i keep finding are freaking blessing stones. I am currently at the little island that's in Lake ilinalta and all i found was a freaking blessing stone...PLEASE HELP.
@SmilingNewt you can go to some dungeons they mostly have dragon shout tables somewhere but mostly you have to fight a dragonborn draugr that is a bitch to kill.
@117starpower so like that Mallow rock place or whatever its called thats on the top of the mountain and your searching for the Golden Claw on the story mode is where i can find the tables...
@SmilingNewt yes or when you get to the college in winterhold and get the mission quest from the ghost guy he ask you to find the staff of magnus to disable the eye of magnus after you beat the dragon priest you need to get the staff of magnus to be able to continue and there should be a dragon table near a chest somewhere there. i dont remember exactly where it was. and you can go to the tip of hrodgar where the graybeard dragon chief is and he gives you a dragon shout.
@SmilingNewt ah and the worst of some of these dungeons is that there might be a dragon priest:( they are really the bitch to kill if you dont have the right stuff to use like only a dagger and youre fucked. then it is those trolls that will troll you until you kill it and you might be so unlucky that you both meet a dragonborn and a dragon priest at the same time and well yeah good luck with that...
@117starpower well i finally found the Unrelenting Force Shout and killed my first dragon but it would be fun to just be able to attract a dragon or two... and the trolls DON'T even start. I encountered a troll before the little town when you have to go and see the greybeards and died twice... I shot at it with a bow and got it going towards the town. It killed two archers on its way but i finally got some help from the town people. Luckily i havent met a priest.
@SmilingNewt yeah good for you but are you so lucky that you get 3 free dragon soul when spawning in a town? cause i was that lucky:P but thats just random happening that happens sometimes and i sometimes finds a dragon table without knowing about it and get a shout without knowing about it:P
@117starpower That is really awesome actually, Oh and i just killed my second dragon I went took that carriage from Whiterun to Windhelm and when i got there i talked with the guy that has the horse stables. After talking with him about being not afraid of getting killed by a dragon..next thing i know There comes a dragon from the mountains .

@SmilingNewt yeah i used to get launched up in air when i was early in the game and was going to whiterun:/ they kept sending me up to air and i flew like super man all the way to winterhold. i dont know how that happened guess it was cause of it launched me into a rock and sent me flying in the direction where winterhold was.
@117starpower funny... When i went flying i just came plopping back down at the giants feet. Um here is a shout related question...since you know alot about Skyrim... is the Shout Animal Allegiance the one where you can call a dragon. cause if so Sweet... I actually came upon the whole dragon word wall and got it... I luckily didn't have to fight a dragon just two wolves.
@SmilingNewt no but after you have done a quest for the greybeard the old guy you saved from the thieve guild will say something about that to get to sovengarde you need to fly and only dragons and birds can fly so you have to call for a dragon the shout is "snow, hunter, wing" or odahviing. you will learn it as he say snow hunter wing or odahviing. but you cant use him as a ride away from giants he will help you out by fighting the enemies. but beware if its a dragon dont use him!
@SmilingNewt well use double destruction spells like fire + fire or fire + spark or spark + spark (frost bite wont help so much especially the frost trolls you know) that should help a bit and if you have the call a dragon shout call odahviing and if you have that shout where you call one of the heros in sovengarde you should be able to fuck that troll pretty badly much;)
@117starpower well i just thought there would be a whole new kind of thing to do but I actually read to use fire... I found one of those kinds of books in the game. Now tell me this.. whats the quickest way to kill a Dragon.
@SmilingNewt well there is not a way to kill the dragon in 3 seconds but the fastest way to kill it is using the oposite spell it uses (f.eks if it uses fire use frost bite or if it use frost bite use fire) and call for odahviing and sometimes its lucky to have a giant fighting for you too. i would use fire and a sword that does a really high damage on the dragon and if you are lucky it wont be in air to much if so use dragonrend instead of call a dragon that should kill it fast.
@117starpower well i think i told you about the time i went to Windhelm and instantly fought a dragon. but i actually used a steel battleaxe and it really did a lot of damage too.
@SmilingNewt yeah i mostly use a sword with fire damage and uses a poison on it to kill the dragon or any other enemies easly but with one swing with my death sword (yes named it myself after enchanting it) and the enemy is dead as in trolls, skeletons (of course) draugr, bandits and spiders. i must say. im really in love with my sword:)
@SmilingNewt you cant enchant potions you have to dechant a weapon with either fire damage or shock damage or frost damage that is the only thing you can enchant with your weapon and you need soul gem to be able to combine the elemental damage and the weapon together (of course must the soul gem be filled with soul either petty soul, grand soul or greater soul or something like that)
@117starpower so since i have like 5 petty soul gems they have souls in them already or do i have to have a spell to fill them. If the first part is the case then how do i enchant them...every time i find an enchantment table it says that i can't
@SmilingNewt you need soul trap and when you used soul trap kill an enemy within 3 or 6 seconds and you got a soul. but it depents on what you kill. big enemy equal more and bigger souls as in dragon = grand soul mammoth = greater or grand soul ( i dont know) honestly it is very hard to know what monster has the right soul try to see on youtube for how you can find out what monster has what soul i guess someone have figured it out now.
@117starpower I just found Shearpoint... as in the word wall on Shearpoint and i encountered both a Dragon and a Dragon Priest.... I died the first time but the next time i used my horse and managed to escape with both of our lives.

@NotCasuals and that I did, and indeed there was a shout there, I thought shouts were only found in dungeons, sorry for doubting you, oh and by the way, when I did doublecheck I was attacked by another dragon
incase no1 has said it i would like to point out 2 more shouts :)
1. on the mountain south of the shout at Bonestrewn Crest (havent gone there yet myself but i saw it on another guys map).
2. over the little mountain southeast right next to riften is an old ruin with a shout on it, i think u r ment to get it through a quest but i got it by going out on a ledge to get around the back of the ruin and then climbing some rocks to get the shout on the roof. its the storm call shout and its a cool 1
i died many times from his fireball but after i killed him i noticed his fireball that was kicking my ass was actually a staff, so it made me wonder could i have disarmed his staff with my disarm shout ive never used befor hehe
@EvilNecroid dunno, but i guess not (i got disarm long after i defeat krosis). he's a strong guy, kinda boss, and that Disarm will work only for weaker enemies, right? or maybe, only if you have all three words of it
@RickyPrescott You will eventually find those walls. You just got to have some luck. Just keep looking for walls and you'll see that you'll upgrade those shouts. Sometimes a shouts second word is found during a quest so that could also be your issue :)
@RickyPrescott Each shout has three words, and as such, with the exception of six, you need to find all three word walls that are linked to that particular shout. There are fourty one word walls total. From the main questline, you learn Unrelenting force, Clear Skies, Dragonrend, Summon Dragon, Call of Valor, and a word of Whirlwind charge, Fire breath, and Storm Call, There are five shouts in the game you will never learn, but will see.
@Teriblthundrlzrd pfft he lacks the power necessary to ruin skyrim. The only entity strong enough to do so was bethesda but even they cannot destroy the beast they have unleashed upon us... DUHH
Hey if you dont do the quest at the northern whatchtower dragons wont spawn so if you go to the roosts you could get em without having a fight couldnt u? (except maybe shearpoint)
This is just a random n00b question that i'd like to have answered without playing. Can you only equip one dragon shout at a time? I know this seems probably obvious but I'd like it confirmed.
@xmaryHXCx You can favorite them and use one then equip another one while the other one recharges, but yes, you can only have one equiped, since the only button that activates a shout is Z (in PC of course)

@SmilingNewt when i was going to the sky haven temple thing i saw a dragon spawn right infront of my eyes like i mean i literally saw it spawned infront of my eyes. i was like "wtf man? isnt they supossed to spawn like behind you or so far away from you that you cant see them spawn? dammit man:(" and then a freaking giant came out of nowhere and fucked me up badly:( and took the dragon soul from me:( i hate those damn giants that pops up from nowhere and fuck you up:(

@SmilingNewt yeah i used to get launched up in air when i was early in the game and was going to whiterun:/ they kept sending me up to air and i flew like super man all the way to winterhold. i dont know how that happened guess it was cause of it launched me into a rock and sent me flying in the direction where winterhold was.

@117starpower funny... When i went flying i just came plopping back down at the giants feet. Um here is a shout related question...since you know alot about Skyrim... is the Shout Animal Allegiance the one where you can call a dragon. cause if so Sweet... I actually came upon the whole dragon word wall and got it... I luckily didn't have to fight a dragon just two wolves.

@SmilingNewt no but after you have done a quest for the greybeard the old guy you saved from the thieve guild will say something about that to get to sovengarde you need to fly and only dragons and birds can fly so you have to call for a dragon the shout is "snow, hunter, wing" or odahviing. you will learn it as he say snow hunter wing or odahviing. but you cant use him as a ride away from giants he will help you out by fighting the enemies. but beware if its a dragon dont use him!

@SmilingNewt well use double destruction spells like fire + fire or fire + spark or spark + spark (frost bite wont help so much especially the frost trolls you know) that should help a bit and if you have the call a dragon shout call odahviing and if you have that shout where you call one of the heros in sovengarde you should be able to fuck that troll pretty badly much;)

@SmilingNewt well there is not a way to kill the dragon in 3 seconds but the fastest way to kill it is using the oposite spell it uses (f.eks if it uses fire use frost bite or if it use frost bite use fire) and call for odahviing and sometimes its lucky to have a giant fighting for you too. i would use fire and a sword that does a really high damage on the dragon and if you are lucky it wont be in air to much if so use dragonrend instead of call a dragon that should kill it fast.

@117starpower well i think i told you about the time i went to Windhelm and instantly fought a dragon. but i actually used a steel battleaxe and it really did a lot of damage too.

@SmilingNewt yeah i mostly use a sword with fire damage and uses a poison on it to kill the dragon or any other enemies easly but with one swing with my death sword (yes named it myself after enchanting it) and the enemy is dead as in trolls, skeletons (of course) draugr, bandits and spiders. i must say. im really in love with my sword:)

@SmilingNewt you cant enchant potions you have to dechant a weapon with either fire damage or shock damage or frost damage that is the only thing you can enchant with your weapon and you need soul gem to be able to combine the elemental damage and the weapon together (of course must the soul gem be filled with soul either petty soul, grand soul or greater soul or something like that)

@SmilingNewt you need soul trap and when you used soul trap kill an enemy within 3 or 6 seconds and you got a soul. but it depents on what you kill. big enemy equal more and bigger souls as in dragon = grand soul mammoth = greater or grand soul ( i dont know) honestly it is very hard to know what monster has the right soul try to see on youtube for how you can find out what monster has what soul i guess someone have figured it out now.

@117starpower I just found Shearpoint... as in the word wall on Shearpoint and i encountered both a Dragon and a Dragon Priest.... I died the first time but the next time i used my horse and managed to escape with both of our lives.

incase no1 has said it i would like to point out 2 more shouts :)
1. on the mountain south of the shout at Bonestrewn Crest (havent gone there yet myself but i saw it on another guys map).
2. over the little mountain southeast right next to riften is an old ruin with a shout on it, i think u r ment to get it through a quest but i got it by going out on a ledge to get around the back of the ruin and then climbing some rocks to get the shout on the roof. its the storm call shout and its a cool 1

i died many times from his fireball but after i killed him i noticed his fireball that was kicking my ass was actually a staff, so it made me wonder could i have disarmed his staff with my disarm shout ive never used befor hehe

@RickyPrescott You will eventually find those walls. You just got to have some luck. Just keep looking for walls and you'll see that you'll upgrade those shouts. Sometimes a shouts second word is found during a quest so that could also be your issue :)

@RickyPrescott Each shout has three words, and as such, with the exception of six, you need to find all three word walls that are linked to that particular shout. There are fourty one word walls total. From the main questline, you learn Unrelenting force, Clear Skies, Dragonrend, Summon Dragon, Call of Valor, and a word of Whirlwind charge, Fire breath, and Storm Call, There are five shouts in the game you will never learn, but will see.

Hey if you dont do the quest at the northern whatchtower dragons wont spawn so if you go to the roosts you could get em without having a fight couldnt u? (except maybe shearpoint)

This is just a random n00b question that i'd like to have answered without playing. Can you only equip one dragon shout at a time? I know this seems probably obvious but I'd like it confirmed.

@xmaryHXCx You can favorite them and use one then equip another one while the other one recharges, but yes, you can only have one equiped, since the only button that activates a shout is Z (in PC of course)
