I read in a Kate Walsh interview that there was originally an addek sex scene that the writers decided to cut because they thought the derek/addison chemistry was too intense,cuz they wanted the audience to root for mer/der. that sux.

Oh yeah, i believe that. Kate has way more chemistry with Patrick than Ellen will ever have. At least in my opinion. Their regular scenes are already more intense than MerDer's sex. And everyone stop whining that you want Addison on Greys. All men are taken there and she doesn't fit in anymore. Greys uses her as a punching bag to make other couples or characters how could you WANT that as a fan of her?
