I has two hedgehogs, i just tried to teach them to swim, they started freaking out lol. Then my cat saw them, so i put them up. (since they're more worried about the water than the cat, they're kinda defensless)

Hedgehogs eat cat food, actually. The protein to fat ratio is exactly what they need. They can also have a lot of different vegetables, and some poultry. But they get fat very easily, so everything has to be high in protein but very low in fat!

Hedgehogs REALLY start to get cute when they are about two months old. Their quills smooth out and backwards, and if you pet them from head to tail, you won't get pricked.

The best way to test if a hedgehog is friendly or not is to pet it and then try to pick it up. If it does NOT stick out it's quills, then it's rather fond of you and easily tolerates humans. Baby hedgehogs are pretty cute, but their quills stick everywhere instead of in one direction, so you can't exactly pet them. :D
