is this right? the song starts with 2 5 2 3 2 on normal D-String.... what do think?

d string on a normal d tuning is 1 4 1 2 1 ok so if its tuned to E u cnt do it because even on an open fret u dnt get a D* note so u just cnt do it it like tht but on a string which is tuned to G* u can do it at the 7th fret ok hope tht helps :)

it could be the amp or ur technique, try playing around doing different things to try get the sound

go for more gain, or if you have a distortion pedal, use that. the treble knob should be on 9-10, the middle, 7-9, and the bass around 4 or so. i hope this gives you a good benchmark to start at

the whole song is pretty good, but the bridge and "abuse interlude" are off a little. hopefully i will be able to post a vid teaching it, but Dan Donegan (Disturbeds guitarist) has a vid where he teaches the whole song himself. thats how i learned to play it

I'm positive. The the whole basis for "The Sickness" but especially in "Down With The Sickness" You know how David has the snake bites in his chin right? It's about how society is always saying stuff like that is "sick" and they basically shun you cause of it. The mommy part is saying "Fuck you society, I don't give a shit what you think." The part saying "Get up come on get down with the sickness" says be your own person even if society would label it as "sick"

i was using my "lunchbox" 10 watt marshall amp, it has built in distortion. with the spider, you're probably gonna want to set the treble in the middle, and the bass as high as it can go, maybe a little less.
