i don't know if any other you guys observe this, but James Iha's face had always looked sad and bored in all SP's live performances since D'arcy left the band though his guitar playing remains killing and sublime.

yeah Cocoon you are right, the album was really badly recorded... I get that feeling also with Siamese Dream.. songs like Hummer, or Rocket, or even Today.. could have been recorded a lot better..

well i don't know how to call it exactly, but i mean the sound drown's billy's voice.. i found the same prob with the 1st album of Velvet Revolver, the vocals are overwhelmed by the rest of the sounds.. that's what i mean..

it's because they used way more equipment than they usually did, way more technical stuff, more layers, lots of sound effects, vocal effects, and they used different amps. in the first thrre albums, most if not all of the distortion came from Orange amps.

not so much a diezel, you just need high gain...and to file the nut on your guitar down so that you can use 12s without breaking it...its all about that low C tuning with the telephone cable strings
