Lord help our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines as they transition back to what they once called home. As a soldier, I know the pain of waking up to the horror of our new reality. Can't say which is worst... Being awake seeing images of the dead in the faces of strangers as they walk by or begging for the power to will yourself to sleep, but fearing the ghosts that hide right behind your eyes. WTF is going on here???? More troops have come home to kill themselves then the troops that have been killed in both conflicts combined. And he said he killed 212 people. How did he do that? Maybe it was for the better if that was true and the way he told his mother was down right creepy! 150,000 Vietnam vets are estimated to of taken their own lives upon returning home.

i always wanted to join the marines because i thought it would be glorious and i would be a hero afterwards. what people dont seem to realize is that its not like it is in the movies. tragic stuff happens.
I knew Jimmy he was a friend we went to middle school together and our mother's knew each he lived just a few blocks away and delivered my paper. Jimmy was the life of the party, always smiling, happy go lucky kind of person. He believed in education and loved his country. I last saw him before his first tour and then breifly after his second and you can see war had corroed his innocence. An while I won't go into the reason's why it happened. It is with a heavy heart I say I miss my friend!
he may be the biggest asshole ive ever met in my life.we trained hard even after working hrs just to make sure his squad was ready 24/7. ask us about Marine Corps knowledge 24/7.. doesnt matter what u are doing.. gettin drunk on the weekend, takin a shit, eating chow.u get it wrong.u will pay. When it came to combat.. i had so much confidence in my squad. We were sharp. when he was at the military brig i had to escort him to court in shackles n cuffs.broke my heart.escorting my sqleader.

Having just returned from iraq six months ago i now understand exactly why - faulks just cant handle it when they come back out into the world - with support from my family and medication i have been able to keep it together -But My advice would be dont sign up in the first place doesnt matter how trapped you might feel in civillian life - theres always a way out - but untill the government starts treating its troops better USE YOUR HEAD stay away from the army

Then the 2nd tour was 9 months...(of which we left as platoons and he got to go home at 8) Also, although he did earn a bronze star... he did not kill 212 people...
