Just, for a second, pay attention to Heaton's (R.I.P. so, so sad) drumming!!! For me the drums are the most distinctive aspect of this song, and I find melody, harmony and lyrics simply amazing too...

Heaton was a lot better on many other songs. That mid-drum break ends off beat. Try counting through it, you can't. Not trying to bash Heaton. He was something special behind the kit, but I have to say it is the bass that is the strongest aspect of this song. It just slithers in, grabs you and pulls you in and along.

as a 41 year old american raised in texas i found it hard to comprehend how a band from north england could have touched my life in such a personal way. these songs are about me, about my friends- the things that happened to us and the world we grew up in and is all around us. i took courage from these records and i treasure the one time back in the early 1990s that i found myself at a nma show in philly, i wanna dance with thsi fire 'cause it's all that i know... thanks new model army.
