  • Is that a Kokanee? Don't look like it to me

  • @BigFro420 its a pair of kokanee alright... caught in the south platte river, in the middle of the land-locked state of colorado...

  • @BigFro420 kokanee are to put it simply. freshwater sockeye salmon. both when they are in their spawning stages get their red color and develop a hooked jaw and big teeth.

  • Fun to catch and release ,but I've wondered do people eat them when they've spawned ? I've seen many folk bagging the up?

  • I am not a fan of catching spawning salmon. Ocean bright? Absolutely. But once they are spawning leave 'em be so they can do their thing and make more baby salmons!

  • @Hillarious87 I believe these salmon were caught in the "dream stream" here in colorado in which case it is a false spawn, meaning that the eggs will not hatch. the water conditions are just not ideal for them. by the way I am also not a fan of casting to actively spawning fish.

  • I liked that little dance she did before exiting the net

  • What lake were you fishing on ?? and were ??

  • nice. i wanna catch one on a 3 weight

  • nice fish

  • Nice one ! Tight lines from germany ..
