haven't you still learnt the "right" encoding, Elise? :/ why can't you encode the videos in "exact" PAL or NTSC format? this is completely wrong, it's looking like ntsc in pal... those thick black lines (on the above and below the actual video) shouldn't be there. (and a recommendation: please try to get help and advice from Reenah or Alex about this, i'm sure they can help. they're on #schnookiez.)

sorry Elise, i didn't mean to start an argument or something; i just expressed "my own" opinion and advice, if you need it. (but i'm still saying it, you're encoding "wrong"...)

Well, I was annoyed with your comments for several reasons:
1) your username did not make clear to me who you are => and I don't like it when people that I don't know who they are talk to me like they know me
2) your comment was quite rude in my opinion

3) you're the first (and only) person complaining about the black lines, and as long as Mariah does not look deformed I don't think I'm capping my videos in the "wrong" way like you call it.
Most people are just happy they get videos they didn't know yet in stead of complaining about those black lines above and under the video.

sure you're FREE to do what you wanna do; but why not in a "better" way?.. anyway... i was just trying to state "my own" opinion about something that i see wrong; didn't expect this negative reaction. i'm sorry if it sounded rude.
