It anoys me when guys start talking about the Bushido code as martial sport fighters regaurdless of promoting martial arts or not. These guys don't understand Japanese culture or the warriors code or they wouldn't be comparing it with MMA. Bushido isn't entirely respectable, especialy not in this era.

@Super8astard I agree to some extent. If you ever have the chance go train at a CSW Erik Paulson gym. The one I went to in Jacksonville Fl, taught a lot of history and I guess what you can call fighters etiquette. He actually teaches MMA for fighting but he normally pushes in a lot of culture too.

@bassreeves1965 I dont think he would lose or at least get knocked out. Fedor often finds himself at the mercy of grappling. Fedor tries so hard to just use his boxing mostly and sometimes kicks and will throw a guy down just try and hit hard and as much as he can. Erik has a great standing/striking game but he mostly uses grappling. He has a huge range of moves, assess the situation and makes plans. Both have a decent sense of timing and accuracy. Fedor will use strength more n Erik strategy mo

all his fighters are very respectful including brock, he explained pretty well why brock flipped out and brock is only human and even explained if they were in there wouldn't have happened. He also said he didn't agree with what brock did but tried to explain why it happened and said it most likely would not happen again. Stop hating on brock he is a nice guy, and probably the best fighter on the planet right now.

By that I assume you mean the steroids. I have attended camps with Sensei Paulson for years. He always takes the time to talk about tradition, discipline, respect, and the values which he feels should be associated with real martial arts training. He is not required to do it. He just does. He has spoken out against steroids and illegal drug use. Does Barnett train under him? Yes. But Erik can't make Josh do the right thing. He can only do his best to set a good example. Which he does.

He isn't technically banned, because he wasn't licensed and the test was for licensure he could theoretically reapply with any commission. It's his 3rd positive test so he would def. be under a ton of scrutiny. I would speculate that most athletes have atleast used peds at one point in their career wether it's hgh, steroids or even blood doping.
