he is my favorite countertenor, because he makes music with all his powers, life and passion. a crazy way to do art. since i saw his orlando in munich, i am his fan for ever and i know his has a lot of rivals...

But I has to admit, his hole potential, his genious needs a theater stage. His is much more complete in the role instead of a concert or recital.

it's great. though i prefer Patricia Bardon in Christie recording. Also i find a tempo a bit rushed and on the limit Mehta being able to sing it comfortably...

I was there! Can you imagine a whole evening of Handel counter-tenor arias? I was totally blown away by this concert - all of it. The orchestra were equally the stars, with huge rhythmic precision. It was an special benefit concert for a rehearsal hall, which they don't have. With playing like this it is no wonder that the regular season is completely booked months in advance. Do you have any more of the concert you can post?

That was so splendid! I loved how he moved and expressed himself physically while singing. That is one of the reasons why I love Simone Kermes. It is so cool to see one get into the singing and living it! He is marvelous. they all were! Listen to that applause!!! :-)
