  • diiiablos! ella era lestat!

  • T-T cryin' right now!say good bye to Lestat the best vampire I've ever "known" is something hard to do, but I'm happy she keeps on writing and I think we must support her in her new "journey", thanks Mrs Rice

  • could someone telll me if there's any movie about her books?

    I'm really interested

  • @mabelxxxbsb 1994--Interview with the Vampire (which is her first published book and critically acclaimed book and popular book) was adapted into a film starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, Stephen Rea, and Kirsten Dunst. It was directed by Neil Jordan and produced by David Geffen (who was the reason why Interview with the Vampire was ever made into a film as he liked the book).

  • It saddens me greatly to know that Anne will never return to the Vampire Chronicles, but I am very happy for her that she has found her peace.

  • Loving the fire & brimstone montage at the end. Anne, you confound me!

  • *tears* at least both fantastic series ended well. I thank u beautiful ms Anne rice. And luv ya back. That was so heartwarming and I am an avid reader of all your books. Even the angel time series and I'm not even religious.

  • In this new christian Anne Rice I only see a pitiful old woman broken by her weaknesses, a person who bows before the tyrant god of the children of Abraham, because she is unable to deal with decay. Christianity is a religion for the weak, the slaves, and Anne Rice has once more proven it.

  • @WilliamDraven do you feel stronger now? That way of seeing Christianity is just a way for weak people to feel stronger and no, I am not Christian or anything similar to it, but I'm tired anyway of the "I'm stronger because I don't fear God and I stay out of Christianity which is a lie that fearful people believe". Someday you'll be crushed in some way and your anti-christianity won't stop it, because you're not strong for that.

  • @CorvusBruxo what a funny little thing you are. Do you think that I am a little boy who wants to rebel? If you ever realize the damage the abrahamic religions have caused, then perhaps you will learn to speak more carefully. Know, oh thou pitiful creature, that I do not characterize Christianity a lie, because I do not believe that there is truth. Truth is a concept for undeveloped minds, for abrahamic minds. But you would never understand.

  • Anne, the great!!!!!

  • I love you too Anne! I'm glad you found Christ he's always been a big part of my life too even when i was reading your vampire books.

  • i guess her former self will be my inspiration,. her vampires are very real to me,.

  • Now that you are once again an "outcast" due to leaving Christianity again (and rightly so!) might you once again write the books mentioned in this video?

  • We all struggle in the Christian world. For me I believe in the supernatural and the Christian religion refuses to believe in certain supernatural aspects. It is aggravating and who knows which belief is true.

  • Dear Anne, tnx for your message. I must say I never regarded your earlier works as evil and I hope this dogmatic view is only part of your journey now. As a matter of fact, the witches, the vampires & the Talamasca were wonderfull characters because of their defects.Your books are all filled with loving, inspiring messages straight from the light. The characters accentuate just that, by letting us readers take the journey with them. Your journey's not ended with finding Christ, it's progressing.

  • This makes me sad.

  • I'm glad you made that dision anne rice and I'm glad your moving on from what you used to do and I wish all the and only the best with your new series all the the best of luck and god bless

  • crazywanch. you are fucked in the head, hun. Your lusts and Gods wishes for you are not one and the same.

  • For anyone who doesn't know..she left again. Her son is gay and she supports him and LGBT rights and one of the reasons she left is because she felt that she could no longer be part of something that has conflicting views. She has stated that she has some doubts concerning religious beliefs in general but is still spiritual. Her books reflect her struggles with beliefs and the meaning of things. In fact she regularly interacts with her fans through her facebook page and talks about these things.

  • I have to say I respect Anne's position, although I don't understand it. She is treating those boks as though they are something bad that she can't go back to, although she states they are the journey that brough her to the where she is now, so how can at least giving the series a definitive conlusion not be in her mind.

  • @embarrientos1 Hi, I recommend you read her essay on her earlier works that's on her website. It is my impression from reading it that she doesn't actually regard her earlier ouvre as "bad" in that sense. But she has stated elsewhere that she sees them as a complete body of work. Not having yet finished reading The Vampire Chronicles I can't say that I agree or disagree with that statement yet, but I imagine that after writing 20+ books on the same universe and themes I'd be a bit tired too. :)

  • I'm glad you found love and faith Anne, but please don't stop writting your Vampire Chronicles, I remember reading them, and I always felt those books represented not a loss of faith, but of Hope everlasting! And it helped me come to terms with my own beleives as I realized Faith and Religion are NOT the same thing. But whatever you decide, keep writting.

  • My question is: i'm a Christian like you, and I read your books... but why do the characters making obscene sex all the time??. Is that "religiously" correct??

  • @petitanyell1 Because they're Vampires...

  • this is nuts :|

  • She's not christian any more. Does this mean a change of heart? I hope so.

  • @SinisterSoul93 : I was thinking the same thing... and what a climate for the greatest of all Vampires, Lestat, to make a comeback... everyone's loving Vampires these days!

  • @Deeppack Yes! And they're loving the wrong kind of Vampires. In badly written books of teenage agnst. What we need is another truely good Vampire book. Besides, I would love to see Lestat rip into the Twilight series. ^^

  • I respect you for returning to your faith Anne, but I LOVE your books, they brighten up alot of people's lives....But no more Armand, gabrielle,LESTAT!!!!I'm going to cry.I'm a Christian to ubt gosh i love these books.I agree she must be brainwashed,I'm going to go read the vampire lestat now and cry myself to sleep. This is SAD

  • witches are not bad, actually, they are very close to a god AND a godess.... and the sun shines for them even brighter

  • I have to wonder about this woman. Christianity, the bible are clear about homosexuality and what it is, it's nature. I mean, it's written in the book very clearly. Yet, now, it's a revelation to her saying Christians have no grounds for denying gay marriage? It's so absurd, I have to believe that Anne Rice staged this whole thing. Remember, she has a gay son.

  • @the0world0sucks I think God is fine with gay people,I mean the body is just a vessle to the soul, why should he care who they have sex with?

  • @crazywanch101 According to scipture, there is a way that seems right to a man, but the way thereof is the way of death. In other words, what seems right to YOU is entirely against the Lord. God made Male and Female. And scriptures are clear, that when mankind plays games with the truth... homosexuality occurs as a sign that God's had it with you. Homosexuality is a sign from God. It is not normal. It is not good. It is not natural. It's a sign that God will punish the land and the people.

  • @crazywanch101 Reason is told God is against gay marraige and intercourse is because he had created man to romantically intervene with woman in a sexual sense, not man. Adam and Eve for example, think very specifically that he intended for the man to engage in sexual intercourse with a female and for the fetus to emerge from the woman's reproductive organ, meaning the vagina, that is it's purpose, as for the penis it was shaped for creating the offspring. Meaning it is against God's intentions.

  • Read the bible about what it says about gay people, you may not like it.

  • @tharkcide Do you mean the original texts, that you have no knowledge or opportunity to decipher or the watered down translations that have been altered many times through the centuries? Do you speak Hebrew? Have you read the Tora? Are you simply repeating what others have told you to believe?

  • @AnneRiceDotCom What you did makes me proud Ann. It gives me hope that someday you may change your mind about writing/continuing the vampire Chronicles.

You are beautiful to me again Ann. And I feel I can be proud to be your Fan once more. I have already called all my friends with the news. They are ecstatic.

I love you Ann, and Honestly I never stopped. I hope I get to read about this personal adventure in a book someday.

  • Anne you are an inspiration. Thank you for having the guts to stand up for what you believe.

  • She's moved from one fictional entity to another - hardly surprising really. She was a Catholic by indoctrination - they find it very difficult to escape the cult..Great books - but what she believes now is mostly irelevant from my perspective. Good luck Anne.

  • Nothing to be concerned about Anne Rice fans. By rejoining the Catholic Church she has officially joined the dark side.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • she is possessed indeed !!!!! i hate this!!!!

  • Anne, you can be a christian and still write about Vampires and Witches.

  • I think all the faithful readers of the Vampire chronicles and Mayfair witches should boy cot Anne Rice. She has drawn us into a fictional world and then left us hanging. I for one will never buy another of her books!

  • I didn't believe any word she said

  • What is name of the intro/outro song?

  • I always find some divine theme to her books.

  • NOOO!!!!!

I can understand her views on going towards the light lets face it we all have or will at least once in our lives but am still shocked.

    Either way I believe that when I write this I am writing just one of the many things each fan is thinking;

We all miss the beauty you created through your words,I can understand that you are probably sick of hearing people go on and on about the old books were better, but the harsh truth is we can and always will be able to relate to her characters.

  • Wow, what wide range of responses from a fan base. Love, hate, disbelief, acceptance, denial. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!! Better than fiction.

  • History records that people really believed in vampires and werewolves. Both were associated with black magic. The enemy is behind it. Praise Jesus for saving us.

  • GOD RUINS EVERYTHING GOOD!

  • What I got from this is "even though I am Christian now I am gonna still reap the material benefits from you buying my vampire books, Thanks"

  • @SteampunkPagan lmao right!

  • Even though I am saddened about not being able to read any more of your vampire books, I am very happy to hear that you have regained your faith and and are putting your faith into practice through the books you will be writing. I cannot wait to read them!

  • Anne, bless you, I have admired your work for 22 years. I am sorry you have to receive such bilious vitriol from your "fans". But as the LORD said, 'many will hate you because of me'. So you know you are on the right track, when the Godless Christ-haters malign you for your faith.

  • if your convictions lead you to put away your previous writings and move forward then go for the gusto, sister. there will always be critics and haters. looking forward to your new books.

  • Anne. You're an idiot.

  • oooooooooo I think I know! she met something she thought could not exsist yet she wrote about it, So she ran to the church and now writes for it! HA like that can happen................*knaw's on muffin*

  • what a fucking shame

  • SOMEBODY BRAINWASH HER

  • anne rice is a genius yet human...

  • hey...if Mase and DMX found GOD and is still rapping, then I to believe Anne rice will write another vampire and witch book in the future..just wait and see...

  • religion has blurred the line between fact and fiction she now writes religious novels which are just as fictional as vampires and out if all religions she just had to pick catholicism

  • @blazerrips91 but im happy that she wrote books such as the vampire armand its the best we have got better than that stephanie meyer junk twlight is weak

  • I respect her mystical itinerary. To many of us, the Bible, and the story of Jesus, sound like a moralistic preach cemented in an ancient and outdated book. It sounded annoying to me to have priests and preachers using the Bible to hammer its passages over my head by using it to illustrate a convoluted point of view. But the Bible itself has nothing to do with religious fanatics, Mormons, Methodists, Baptists or whatever. It is a mystical book of poetry.

  • why is she talking like that???? what is happening???nihistic universe???? christ??? WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING???? i read crhist out of egypt and was good. But damn, she created a beautiful dark toned romantic world that again, IS BEAUTIFUL, i love lestat and armand. the worst part is that she really sound like she doesnt like them... what the hell, everybody knows crhist is great but damn there have been so many amazing people in life that crazed-christianity sounds only not good enough for me

  • the real vampire herself, its the first time i see her in other than the pictures in the lap of the books.

  • If I wanted to read fictional storys about Jesus. I would just read the bible. I am sorry that you have been brain washed. But alot of your fans dont believe in that destrutive thing called religion and god. Religion is full of hate, and has caused so much pain, and distruction and war.

  • Why cant you still write that stuff. Religion is so stupid, it causes a great writer to not write the stuff that her fans like. Why dont she give back all the evil money she made from her evil books. What a hippocrit, she says that her religion has not stopped her from writting that stuff. Yet, she says she cant because she has found god. Which is just as imaginary as lestat. She has lost my respect. WEAK!

  • You've made a grave mistake Anne Rice. I'm sorry for your lose of humanity. sigh. I wish you god speed in your endeaver.

  • Sigh, Im going to miss Lestat and his adventures. I understand what you mean about your new mind set and how you can't go back, unfortunetly. But I love all your works, not just the Vampire Chronicles. I love you Anne! You've greatly influenced me.

  • Whoa, guess I'm like the only one who is happy for Anne and her conversion.

Let the vamp fans go to Stephanie Meyer for their fix. *shrugs*

  • we love u anne

  • for better or worse, it has always been obvious to me that AR is a Christian writer. this reminds me of when paul mccartney Had to tell people he used lsd

  • I really respect her decision of converting to Christianity

But i wish she would put an end to my misery and write the last book of the vampires and put an end to them. That would be much better than cliff hanging me !!

  • ha I guess I'm in the same boat as Midnite151

  • nooo, thank you! awesomeness :D

  • I guess its official...Lestat is dead....I for one am in mourning.....I do wish she would change her mind.

  • HOW WONDERFUL!!!

When I heard a rumor that Anne rice was a Christian, I was ecstatic! It makes me smile to know that she is saved and has the light of God with her again. :)

I also like that she did not renounce her books. They are good, and like she said, they are her past self. I think it'll be very interesting to read all her novels, from beginning to end, and not only see her worlds and characters change, but her walk with Christ as well. God Bless you Anne Rice.

  • I'm just glad she goes her own way, whether it's toward christianity, atheism, wicca or whatnot.

She went her way when she turned to atheism, and she did the same thing when she turned back to catholicism. I respect that.

  • No Ann Rice! Why did she have to go all christian? The bible condemns homosexuality and her son is gay... I still believe in god, but the bible is a bunch of crap and that's the centerfold of the whole christian religion. No offense to anyone out there, I'm just bummed out cause Ann Rice is good as dead.

  • The bible might condemn this and that but Christ never!

  • I dont want to discuss the beliefs of Anne Rice. She can write about any subject she chooses, but I am disppointed about no new Vampire Chronicles. Lestat remains her best and most complex character. Good luck, Anne.

  • finally, she starts making christian books yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!smart choice

  • I'm very disappointed to hear about no more vampires. But why to go from a great subject to an extremely boring one. reader numbers will drop and opinions will change about the anne rice books. As soon as I started reading the book Interview with a vampire I was hooked to the series and honestly forgot all about Stephanie Meyers Twilight series. Anne Rice is an awesome and talented writer but I feel that she is making a wrong choice in writing about HER 'god' insted of something more interesting

  • Oh no! You did commit philosophical suicide. What a terrible development. Mrs. Rice there are no Vampires and there is no god. The world is free of this shit. Sorry. I loved your Characters. But i knew you are a christian when you wrote "Memnoch the Devil". One of your best. You will find out when you cease to exist. Like we all will. But you will not, because you will cease to exist and become part of a godless universe again. Read Dawkins, Hitchens, Dennett for a change. Good luck!
  • Writing About vampires , witches might take a toll on people . Shes an older woman and its her choice maybe she feels the need for it . My hat is off to you Ann Rice . As she stated she was a diffrent person time to move on .

  • crazy o.o

  • Another casualty of religion. Will it never end? Religion is ultimately meaningless!

If she's going to be that way, she could at least stop being a bitch and allow people to write their fanfics.

  • well i hope that one day if its not too late.you will know the truth that God is real!!!!!!

  • I hope that one day you are prescribed medication for your apparent schizophrenia.

  • its okay cause i know where iam going after i leave this earth! the question to you is are you right with GOd. I don't take all theses serious i guess i just wanted to see what you would say. thxs for your reply god bless

  • Look, I neither disbelieve nor believe in A god. I am logical enough to admit that I don't know what follows after this life. Nobody does. To assume that you do is foolish. I laugh in the faces of atheists and theists alike.

I believe a supreme being may exist, but it is not necessarily a christian or pagan god.

  • Yes we do! You decompose into your basic materials and cease to exist. But you become part of other animals and plants and soil. You will never exist again. Your brain dies, you die.

There is no afterlife. The word is a meaningless hull.

And no judgement! But that doesn´t mean you would feel good killing or hurting somebody.

There is no need for a god just because we don´t know everything now about the universe. But the day may come when we do know.

    Search for thunderf00t.

  • @ All of the people talking smack:

    What books have you written?

I ask only because you're all so free with your criticism, I assume you must also be successful authors with decades of contributions to Literature.

  • yeah me too, SHE IS KILLING HER OWN CHARACTERS ITS PRACTICALLY SUICIDE!!!!! WTF that is a shame, she writes so well and yet she goes back to the church, you would think her returning to the church would be a sin or whatever by writing about vampires and witches, i would love to know how she got around that. i find it a personal insult to all of her fans.

  • Are you kidding me? Fuck christ and fuck the biblical god! Talk about dissapointing, I just lost alot of respect for her.

  • @FullMoonMysticism1 she's an older woman she doesn't want to live in darkness, would you.

  • I understand that to be a contributing factor to the insanity but at the same time I don't. I truly do not believe in the bible or any of the other insane middle eastern religions. Meaning, no matter how old I become I will always choose a free path/paganism for spiritual guidance. I thought she was better than this. She still wrote amazing books and i'm greatful she gave them to us before the brainwashing consumed her.

  • Don´t be so angry. Maybe something happend we don´t know of that made her fear death.

I barely managed to get my grips around "knowing & understanding" to be no more after this live.

Some only begin to understand the horror of it when they grow old and weak. Have mercy.

  • horror of what?

  • What a fucking coward

  • @kubenzi thats kinda harsh

  • We love U too Anne...thank you for ur books and ur wonderful characters, we'll miss them.

  • Hitchens is right-religion spoils everything. But maybe she's just pulling a Bob Dylan and will regain her senses in a year or two.

  • Good, now The Vampire Chronicles are a treasure of treasures. She rennounced to those themes (I think) in time, for good. Now her chronicles are history and will remain mysterious forever.

    Love Anne Rice!

  • @AlbinusMakedonion

    Me too

I think if she hadn't quit it would ruin the charecters eventually. Love The Interview with the vampire series. But I mean its like a tv series, eventually the story would circulate, and people wouldn't watch it The thing with interview of vampire. It gave a fresh look into vampire lives, instead of garlic, and all that b.s. Her being a Christian makes me love her books more.

  • Anne- I'm so excited...I read all the vampire and mayfair books back in the day and have recently found the Lord myself...I can't wait to see what direction God takes your writing! blessings!

  • Though im sadden that she will no longer write of those old characters who ive come to love reading about, i understand. people grow, p eople change, she's found a new interest that shes excited to write about and good for her. BUT im still hoping... =P hehehe

  • I agree, aplustimes.

It's nice that she's found a new fiction (Christianity) but, I can't believe that someone was able to get to her...HER!!... Howard Anne Rice!!!

We need to find this person and kick the ever loving shit out of them for their trickery!

  • who says you cant bring witches and vampires into the world you are in? you are the writer og fiction, you can do whatever you want, you are the creater!

  • NOOOOOOO!!! anne rice is possessed! who the hell brain washed her... fiction is just fiction why stop?

  • God bless you Anne Im happy you've found a new kind of peace in someway we all are looking to do the same, your an inspiration.....

  • oh my... well tank you Anne Rice, I love you too and merry christmas and happy new year 2010...

  • I have written stories myself at a very small age and people are considering it publishing it. Vamps are who I live for and if I had the opportunity to become immortal I'd do it! this place is already DAMNED enough!

  • I dont want Anne Rice giving up on Lestat and the Vampire Chronicles she even said it herself she felt a connection she was him:( nooooo!!! no Chrisitan books? why because your getting old NO! you have talent Anne so much..but i guess you dont want to do anymore novels..I understand..but you will always be one of my inspirtations.

  • and as for Twilight I love the series but I dont like the fact that Vampires SPARKLE? but hey no one no one will every be a real Vamp like Anne rice's Vamps especially Lestat!

  • I remember my first time in the age of 10 or 9 I saw these novels dealing with Vampires and ever since a little girl I have always always ALWAYS beein into anything Supernatural especially these beautiful creates. when I read the Vampire Chronicles I felt this connection with LESTAT!

  • anne rice you broke my heart

  • I really am not into the whole religous thing. Really but has anyone read any of her books now that she is reformed???? Are they good? I have read all of her other but once she started wrighting about religion I stopped. If they are good I might check one out so if anyone knows??? Give me the low down.

  • I really like the first three vampire books. I wasn't too impressed with Tale of the Body Thief and the books after it were terrible. Just something about the way she portrayed the characters, they were too different to be enjoyable.

To me, it was like she just rushed writing the books, and wasn't real concerned about them being good.

  • @Animefan300 Tale of the Body Thief was AMAZING!

  • I liked her better when she was into Vampires but she's still my favorite writer and she helped me in so many ways with her Chronicles that, what ever she does next doesn't matter, cause I'll always be thankful for what she gave me. I am happy for her and if she thinks the "Lord" is the way than she should fallow his lead. Anne... much love and thanks from me!

  • Like a true artist, Anne, you can only expect that you create from what is deep within you. Writing another vampire story now would be a superficial exercise that would probably be evident in the final product which would only serve to dilute your work and disappoint your fans. (Lord knows there is too much superficiality in literature these days). I see a lot of "disappointed" comments below, but I suspect thay would be even more disappointed if your work became compromised. True Artist.

  • Absolutely true.

  • this is what religion does to you... it stunts your brilliance.. her stories are so brilliant.. and now her potential is dimineshed

  • Not necessarily. I'm not saying that I'm particularly thrilled that I'll never read about my beloved Lestat in another new book and I'll probably never know the answers to the millions of questions I have concerning the "fates" more or less of the vampires...but I don't think it's fair to say religion stunts brilliance. I'm not saying that it's a reason to shy away from old fiction completely; I really do wish she would write another VC book. However, it is completely up to her. Respect it.

  • no i still disagree with you. religion is a set of rules that you must follow to avoid a sort of damnation. therefore you cannot associate/talk/do/confide in certain things. it most definitely stunts you. you will spend most of your time and intrest in conforming to fit your own religion than to progress and search for different ideas and beliefs

  • Loving the fire and brimstone montage at the end. Wooohooo!

  • Hmm. I saw in another interview with Anne Rice on Youtube, where she actually states she would like to one last book in the Vampire Chronicles... Interesting.

  • Weirded out.

  • As a writer myself, I understand completely. Writing is often a reflection of the author's self, so if she feels that she can now longer write those type of stories again, I understand. That isn't to say, though, that I'm not also disappointed that there won't be any more Vampire or Mayfair books.

  • I respect Anne Rice but am VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Now we'll be nourish by those craps books we call Twilight shit. A Shame will never heard of Lestat and The Witches again. : (

  • @jewishlicious Yes, she was kinda our last hope: without her Vampire Chronicles, Captain sparkly-pussy will dominate the world

  • @jewishlicious I am pleased there will not be another Blood Canticle, but other than that you're spot on. To write about the supernatural is very un-catholic.

  • I admire her honesty (I'm not a christian)

  • Despite the fact that her books were lovely and I will miss the hope of new material in the older series', I greatly appreciate the fact that Anne is so sincere and truthful in her explanation and commitment to her newer outlook. :)

  • well... I`m kinda dissapointed about no more Vampire-Books :-/ many writers don`t write about things that are connected to them... they just write about what`s going on in their imagination and I find it "sad" that Anne who now is "religious" is letting her beliefs "interfere" with her work :-( but hey, everybody`s free to do what they want to I huess :-)

  • Quiovole!, ques se tray esta ruca? que escriba mas libros!!- nom'bre la rega!!-ya ando atarandtado con toda esta choriada de twilight y todas esas babosadas!! Que se quite de chantajiar i que escriba mas!!

  • Hey. It's whatever floats her boat. People should just leave it and let HER sort out whatever she feels that can make her happy. In the mean time I'll keep reading and re-reading. :D

  • We need more vampire novels. NO MORE TWILIGHT CRAP! AM SICK OF ALL THIS British dude who is ugly thinking he is the ulitmate vampire.

    Please write more vampire novels.

  • so right!!!

  • we thank you for writing.

  • yes, thank you so very much!

  • does she really beliefs vampires exist?

  • "believe" and no I don't believe so. maybe in a metaphorical way.

  • you are right and thanks for pointing out my mistake i was quite in a hurry <)

  • no problem! it's funny because I was just guessing and then either in this interview or another she answered that question with almost the same words. spot on lol.

  • Jesus is a historical person, that has been proved. On the other hand, it has been proved that He is the Son of God (see, for instance, books from Lee Strobel, Lewis and McDowell).

  • Jesus Christ is not real person and his story is unoriginal.

  • Actually he was a historical person, or so it is assumed. That does not mean anything

    bible is right about him.

  • His story is completely unorginal gods like Horus, Krishna, and Dionysus have the same story as Jesus Christ.

  • @Belphegorfan54

anyone with a tertiary knowledge of mythology and comparative religion knows your statement it a lie. None of the slain and risen gods you mention were born of a Virgin, without sin, healed the sick, walked on water, gave sight to the blind, made the lame walk, the mute speak, was crucified, resurrected and ascended to Heaven. NONE defined themselves as the God of LOVE, none sacrificed themselves for humanity, told us to FORGIVE, SERVE AND LOVE. Zeitgeist zombie, aren't you?

  • @DarkAdaptedEyes Do some research before you talk to me, these gods were similar to Jesus and no I'm not a Zeitgeist zombie, I never even finished the movie.

  • i meant- anything in the bible

  • @Belphegorfan54

    so are you

  • Lestat would always kick Cullens' ass... as Anne kicked Steph's.... Anne Rice is the queen... she is an icon at least the younger Rice.... we all love her but... she doesnt have the strength she used to, i know its part of nature to lose your strength but this woman is the... i dont know the word in english... "anthytesis"? of herself... i feel confused

  • You an asehole

  • you an portugese.

  • lovin' the book!

only wish I would have read earlier!

    thank you, thank you!

    keep on keeping on!

  • Such a shame that she should allow her faith to get in the way of her excellent work!

  • I love you too! Thank you for ALL of your books, the old and the new! I have enjoyed your body of work immensely, and eagerly await the latest book on October 27th. Thank you thank you thank you! :-)

  • Hmm, Tolkien himself stated that his stories were not a christian allegory, personally despite any speculation, I will believe him. The author says The Lord of the Rings is not a christian allegory, therefore it is not.

  • Ok, I´m confused. I really love VC, those books are... the greatest books i have ever readed. I love Lestat and i like all of the characters. But... see this video, hear those words about the vampires...Well, i'm kind of shocked. I can't found the sense in that. I understand her conversion or however you wanna call it, but...Aaaaaah! Where is the strong Anne Rice? And now she comes and say "Lestat is me" c´mon! We already knew it but you can't say that! You are killing the magic!

  • oh, well.... at least her vampires don't sparkle : /

  • aww. she's so sweet. <3

  • come on everybody, this is anne rice we're talking about. has ANYBODY ever really been able to change her mind about anything? I may not like that she's not writing more of her old works about the vampires and the witches...but if that's her choice, then we as her supporters have to accept that.

Anne, I can't tell you how much of a new world you have made for me with those books. they have become a part of me, and i thank you. i love you too, and i plan on supporting you no matter what!
