Heres one thing, dont use Ducking Body Blow on a crowd, you become very slow that time, but in PVP is a consecutive skill that just pause them. You can juggle people very easily at 35 or what not. It s just easy. IGN : 48 Monk, 53 GM.

not to be offensive/one of those asses, but u take too long when u pull out a body blow or straight or upper... and whats up with Smasher being lv 10? :o should be 5 so u can have more SP to put in better skills, Monks are very lose with SP, but still... putting it into Smasher isnt the best idea really.

u need to get the cancels!! ducking dash cancel and once u get sway, sway cancel. you'll be able to combo really really fast with those

I been playin as a monk and i find them very great. I was wondering how you might have set up ur skill tree like.

Monks are good but their weak spot is the super armors. They don't have enough to take down most super armors people like exos.

@acelancer I play a monk and for monsters with super armor I normally use Smasher(grabs go through super armor). When it's on cooldown I tend to stay back, focus on other mobs, or y-dodge (I think that's the term. It came from the TMNT arcade game...I think) which is moving up and down(y-axis) to avoid damage since the hitboxes, from what I can tell, are mostly along the x-axis.

@acelancer Some hitboxes have a y-axis range probably because characters or the mob's attack animation actually looks like it's hitting the intended target, so the developers gave a little wiggle room for the attack to land.

@acelancer against most monsters you can grab them out of the super armor moves, then combo them as they are released from the grab, this only works if you have enough attack speed or if you already awakened and can cancel the grab into any non sway or ducking moves. which is cool since if you have attack speed and the awakening, you can grab, cancel into machine gun jab-upper, then ducking or sway upper, turn on shadows and continue the beat down

The monk has to be the most mobile class in DFO. Since a monk has the skill sway, which is basically a better back-step, and a dash-cancel, they can literally strike at any moment.

Anyways in the video. It doesn't show the sway skill, due to the level, but it still shows how effective the ducking-dash can be. Simple things like getting behind the boss and back-attacking. I believe no other class can do that as easy and effectively as a monk. If this is your monk, keep it up, it looks great.
