@raptors222222 Firstly: They did. There were *tanks* in the city. Secondly: That's bull. The protests were peaceful, and the protestors had every right to express their feelings about the World Trade Organization.
@raptors222222 ..really.. what part of "peaceful protest" do you not understand? that's all right, you keep working to eradicate Human/American rights and some of the rest of us will try to make up for your blindness.
The majority of people their were peaceful. Then the juggalos came in and busted out windows and started fires. This should have been a relatively peaceful protest. It was pretty badass though. :)
Most of the activists were peaceful and passionate, I won't dismiss their efforts just because a few screwed things up. The real villains were the WTO, police and incompetent city government.
The politicians and industries don't listen to peaceful protesters.. neither do they listen to protesters who destroy the property of the big industries
but the black block at least fights the corporate industries... that's what we need now
I am a citizen of Seattle.I witnessed these protests. I think it is a shame that a few anarchists rioted and disrupted the legitimate protests of many concerned and active citizens. I think the City's preparation for the WTO meeting was a farce as was their response.

Legitimate police crack down. I truthfully would have called in the National guard to break up the protests.

The way to win against the WTO etc is to get more popular support for the cause.
Violence in protests turns people off and so reduces popular support.
So the question is: what exactly is the mission of the violent Black Blockers?

I support violent protests and revolutions. The only violence that is acceptable is violence that is used in ordr to create an anarchist state.
I want peace too,but if we don't forcefully take out world back we won't get it back at all.
You can't just vote these things away, you need to arm yourself and take to the streets.
We could do it if more people gave a shit and new the truth about anarchy, not the bullshit Faux New version.
