You don't need to put the yarn through the last stitch. After cutting just pull the yarn end straight up and gently tighten. Gives a nicer looking, less bulky finish. Just try it!
Hi Kelsey - I am working on Level II of the TKGA master knitter program and have referenced your excellent tutorial video in my work. Thanks so much. it really helped. Norine
So lovely, actually you taught me some thing very important, it was very clear in spite of as a foreign language for me I understood very well. THANKS
Thank you for this tutorial, I'm just learning a few things other that knitting scarves and never in my life heard about this 3 needle bind off, it was so helpful, when do girls have more patience to learn knitting? my 5 1/2 year old wants to try but gets so frustrated and I don't want her to think it's impossible, so I told her when she's older...
Thank yo so much for posting this tutorial. The other ones were all a bit over complicated, but this one was super easy to understand. And I got my project finished thanks to you. =)
I'm learning how to knit. I did not know if I could tackle a 3-needle bind off. Other videos were hard to see because no closeup shots. Then I found Kelsey. She is marvelous. I understand completely. I can do it! Thank you from a 50-year-old!!
Kelsey: Your explanations are the simplest ones, and when I forgot it, just come to your wonderful tutorial, Thanks for sharing! BTW, I like to show off my 3 needle bind off!
Great explanation! Thanks so much! I might have gotten over my fear of seaming!

I was very hesitant to try the 3 needle bind off on my hat but this was very helpful! PS- I started on circular needles and then changed to DPN
