To me its just stupid to generalize. Psychologist behave this and that way, I could say the same thing about Sannyasins.

There are geniuses among psychos and there are geniuses among the Sannys, and there are really stupid ones as one can easily discover in this comment section just paraphrasing Osho instead of using their own mind. Every now and than Osho takes on a very arrogant note, like in this video. C.G. Jung i.e. was an honest man in search for himself and truth and maybe he succeeded at the end of his live.

“I do not need to believe in God, I know" This sentence spoken by C.G. Jung reveals mystical experience to me. So this intelligent, humouros and now and than very "swiss" guy had much more wits and spiritual insight than most of these cronies commenting here, blowing the same horn then their "MASTER"...

If it is true that Jung was afraid of that one guy in India who supposedly knew himself, then I don't think that Jung knew God. Psychologists, from what i understand, use their words to rationalize life. But I don't think God can be rationalized that way.

Schooling for 8-12 yrs to 'learn' the mind shows lack of contentment with your own. Society teaches us that we need to hold pain, and therefore need psychologists. This is low esteem, and the egoes need to be "important"--not true inner self. When you are empty spiritually, you are empty morally. "First of all psychologist work"...for them it is "work." Knowledge of the mind through Osho(& others) is spirit. Learn the difference for higher thinking--and high esteem is sure to follow.

What evidence does this guy have to say that Sigmund Freud or any other psychologist doesnt know about themselves. First of all psychologist work to heal ppl who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, ptsd, relationship issues, mental and emotional issues and not with philisophical issues of knowing oneself. You're a psychology student, ask yourself why you feel so threatened by "wise guys." Krisnamurti and Osho don't have anything to sell but want to spread peace to those who want it- should be your aim as well. It's only words and you don't have to listen; they're not telling you to so why are you on the offensive? Also, Osho earned a degree in psychology.

Hi, Osho graduated in Philosophy, and all that talk was ages ago. psychology developed into an empircal science - hence it dropped any concept of "truth" just like mr. wise guy suggests (we leave that exclusively to the mystics). but listening to his conclusions and taking the mere words for true, is comfortably numb - learn, try, fail, grow and judge yourself, think that`s his core message, right? anyway, time to get my slaps ;)

is there something strange about osho, why he shows so happy and extravagant in their clothes? Krishnamurti never showed itself that happy and weared that kind of weird clothes and had all that merchandising and propaganda... He (K) showed the face of the hearth of humanity in his very face, humanity is suffering is basically EGO... I don't really understand but this is odd, osho consider itself like a guru or al least that's what his image show to us... i doubt about him, but he's dead :P

probably psychologists have higher suicide rate. this is because those people who enter that profession are not happy and try to philosophize their way out of difficulty.

Those who enjoy themselves and have great lives dont even bother thinking on any deeper level, so those kind of people wouldnt enter that profession.

Osho is right for most psychologists but certainly not for Carl Jung. He was a great mystic, not only a doctor...He is probably the most enlightened mind in the modern West. He also helped thousands of people and cured schizophrenia without the help of any drugs. . .(this isn't fiction, it's a verified and accepted fact).

Beautiful... no doubt he used people terribly to build his empire, lied to them, and even endangered them. But there's no denying, his deep eyes could see the functioning of the human mind much more clearly than anyone else in the entire human race. Those powerful stares came from some energy powerhouse inside. Did anyone notice, he blinked only twice in the entire 7:47 minutes of playing this video? A con man, alright, but a brilliant and intelligent one at that!

I don't remember precisely how to function without the ego. It used to be such a prominent issue in my pysche but it's not really any longer. Can someone enlighten me on what exactly the ego is, does, and how to live without it. I believe this is a very important factor in human living and ensuring the health and well being of an indiviual.

@visionelove the ego can be conscious or unconscious. It depends how conscious thinking/thought you are in awareness. The ego is useful, if your not functioning from the automatic pilot thinking. First, make sure your thought is conscious.

Psychology isn't helpful because it only gives a description of how the mind works instead of helping one to relax into his true being. Psychology is just content to add to your ego, it's completely meaningless. It can only increase the separation between the real you and what you think is you.

Look into those infinitely deep eyes...this is someone who knows himself through and through. I love Osho's interview with Mike Wolfe, hopefully the commune will make it available in its entirety. Mike was one of those very rare, incredibly open-minded, journalists who allowed themselves to experience the real Osho. That too, at a time when the whole world seemed to be condemning/misrepresenting his vision.

there are different levels of psychologists. The best ones can help you.

I say this because i saw a pyshologist who changed the way i am in the world for the better. I still have problems, but it changed for the better.
