a) Implying that I base my veteran abuse fact on something I learnt in school is asinine. It's common fact that veterans were treated as criminals and spat on as they came home and were abused by the public based on biased media.
b) I'm saying that journalism can have more negative effects than positive. Depending on who is taping. A current issue is the middle eastern conflict, fuelled by biased reporting. Some that lead to actual wars.

Vietnam war veterans were abused in various ways by the public due to a general anti-war feeling of the public. It was the cause of media, which caused anti-American soldier sentiment by showing videos of kids suffering and pictures of soldiers killing. But ok, if it helps you sleep better, I will retract my use of the word "systematic", as it wasn't specifically organized. I don't see how this affects my argument, but it seems to be pivotal in your argument, so enjoy the freebie.
