I have this...on VINYL! Original. Didn't like it when I first got it, it grew on me. I owe my ROCK guitar playing to Alice. I heard Welcome to my nightmare when I was about 13 and that was that. I had been playing since I was 8 but this changed it all.
This was the first Cooper album I ever owned; but not the first one that I had heard. I love 70s Cooper, but I think this is one of his best; never understood fans who tried to shoot it down...
The lyrics of this song reminde me of The Terminator. In fact, I even wonder if whoever thought up that flicks plot wasn't listening to this song when he did ?
this was a great album. hard to find outside of import labels. i drop quotes from this album and flush the fashion alot. we're all clones, aren't we all? I just wanna be myslef. aspirin damage, kills the pain destroys the brain. You look good in rags.
@Raiderblack I met Alice in Kalamazoo MI in 1985. I asked him where he got the inspiration to write his two best albums Special Forces and Flush the Fashion? He said "I was going through a drastic change in my life and everything that was normal felt odd and alien. I was under contract to do two more albums and had nothing on my plate. So I went into the studio and those albums are the result." He didn't seem real proud of them. Oh well I still play them as loud as they will go!!
Thank you for this. I have bought this album five different times. Two LPs, two cassettes, and finally the CD (from Germany). All versions came to some unfortunate end. I guess that I could download it now, but I think that Vince and Warner Bros. have been paid enough for me to hear these songs!
Thanks for uploading this. It's been a long time since I even thought about this. I think this and Flush the Fashion were my favorites since they were so damn different than most of his other stuff.
I have not seen this album in years..The only way I even know about it is from my brothers collection...I found it when I was looking for some metal albums and this was back in the late 80's....Crap I am getting old.....
