That's cause in countries like Indonesia(where Im from) most people are less interested in the engine performance than the interior features. It may be because you can't really enjoy the car's driving abilities as city roads are either packed or full of potholes.

I have the 5-speed on the Sport version...with the Spirit Green paint.....I get 36.7 combined mileage and 41.4 on the hwy.......1.5 liter engine with 100 h.p. and 98 ft.lbs. of torque.

In Canada, these cars are quite "pathetic" as you would say. Maybe in 2012 they will improve, but 4-speed auto, or 5-speed manual is kinda dated, and you don't get power windows, unless you order them.

@TheAuto101 I do research. I have been to the Mazda dealer, and saw a base model Mazda 2 (hubcaps, gray bumpers/handles) and it had manual windows and just an AM/FM radio, no CD.
