The key to SXSW was that the music was all pretty generic with nothing new, nothing breaking the mold, no great songs nothing that will be remembered 100 years from now, - This was a generic music festival where everyone that played had to fit in to the 60 year old rock/rap/country/pop corporate sound.

Dallas on the other hand continues the Post-Bands music revolution against all this.
