  • I really liked this game, it's just too bad that so many contestants didn't fully understand the rules - I bet for Bob this was as much a nightmare to explain as Check Game.

  • I liked this game, and would have improved it some. I would have had 8 different numbers on the board, and I would have locked the first and last number in place on the board, representing the 1st and last digits in the price of the car. I would have given the player 15 seconds per decision, and 5 chances total to win the game.

  • i don't like the clock part ; it just wastes a lot of time but i do like the game when the clock is not involved

  • what a stupid game!

  • Does anybody know why this game was retired?

  • @daamits I believe it was because the game was rarely understood by the contestants, and usually with less entertaining results than this clip. And even when it WAS understood, it just wasn't much fun.

  • I don't believe I've ever seen anyone successfully come on stage by using the "wrong" steps on the left. Many have tried, I know. Also, when Bob said, "I want you to remember this for the rest of your lives", I thought he was going to finish by saying, "because I'm never explaining how to play this game again."

  • Amazing how this worked out. She had absolutely know idea how to play the game, AND SHE WON!!!! Like Bob said: "We are in the presence of a miracle!"

  • After all that, she manage to win. Awesome.

  • Maybe she's not stupid. It takes four minutes just to explain the ame. That's like 500% more time than they give you. This game is so complicated.

  • I don't thing she knew English very well so she got confused. Maybe I'm wrong and she is just an idiot.

  • Why is it that these ding dongs who can't play the game always end up winning. See the girl who played ten chances in another video and you see what I mean.

  • ahahahahaha!!!! Zigma777 that was really funny!!!

  • i bet she wrecked the car as soon as she drove it off the lot lol

  • @Zigma777 , ya think?

  • I'm surprised she knew she won

  • hah.. that was awesome!

  • Oh dear.

  • I hated that game

  • Bob is too kind

  • He is really very, very gracious. I suspect he thinks that English is her second language and probably not one that she commands the best so he gave her more chances. Really, really kind.

  • I tell you what, you don't need to have a strong grasp of the English language to realize what the numbers "5" and "3" mean. I mean, c'mon! She made the same mistake like four times. I think she's just dumb.

  • My dogs disagree :)

  • I am in amazement that she actually won.

  • painful to watch

  • I wonder how she burnt her car? LMAO

shes gunna burn this new car with the cabinets as well

  • "Wait, one number's missing!"

This lady will never be forgotten for this fiasco!

  • I never saw this game before and I have been watching Price is Right since I was a little. I love her accent and am glad she won. That game deserves to be retired.

  • 4:18 (dont you just love when bob talks so honestly and not trying to be fake)

    BARKER FOR PRESIDENT

  • you can at about 0:40 hear Rod go "ppft" like he was chuckling at this woman the whole time!

  • this was so easy. It's obvious that the two 0's have to follow the 2, so the first 3 numbers of the car are obviously 200. Then its obvious that the first number in the price of the chest is not 1, so the first 4 numbers in the car are 2001. The only choices she had for the chest were 560 603 and 563. The audience realized that, which is why she won.

  • I have this episode on VHS (including "Screaming Emma") and this doesn't get any more or less painful or funny to watch with time. I actually miss this game not being played; the game was retired simply because the contestants were too stupid to understand the rules. The concept was simple enough for them to win. But this is the 2nd most memorable playing of this game behind the infamous El-Destructo playing.

  • Can I buy a vowel? What country be she from, again?

  • I think she said Argentina.

  • IMO, if you compare this to some of the newer games, this one looks ridiculously easy, assuming you have the Ten Chances rule in your pocket it seems impossible to lose.

When compared to On the Spot, That's Too Much, Money Game, and Cover Up, I'd rather take this. Then again, I wasn't watching TPIR in the 90's.

  • Even I was confused!!! She was lucky.

  • Oh my, I remember her now. I groaned when Split Decision came around the turntable like the audience does when it's time for Check Game. Presence of a miracle, indeed. If it was 1997, wasn't this one of Split Decision's very last playings?

  • They played it one more time after this if i recall, then they got rid of it. Quite frankly, this is one game i do not miss!!

  • I don't even remember seeing this game at all. That's probably a good thing, don't u think?

  • The game seems so simple to me. I think the way Bob explained it made it look complicated.

  • if she drove that one the right side of the road, i'd be surprised. It probably burned up too.

  • I don't think this game was that hard to understand really. Dummies always seemed to play it, however and it didn't help the game.

  • I can't blame Teresa for not understanding the rules to this game. It was confusing enough as it seemed.

  • I thought she was just going to pull the 1st three numbers. i.e. "200" and call it good.

  • Boy, am I glad now that I taped about 30 of Bob Barker's final season episodes on DVD....they're collector's items now & can't get any more of Bob Barker's classics. Don't have game show network. That final episode, which I have & will always cherish, has LOTS of meaning to the show. Drew Caray will never come close to the personality of Mr. Barker.

  • I think they felt bad and just thought.. sure it's right.. ding ding ding you win

  • That's hilarious. ding ding ding.

  • Who'da thought that the T-Bird would be a "luxury car"

  • That was nice of Bob to let her have the extra chance..

  • One thing's for sure, she's got the car.

  • What website did you get this video?

  • I got this from my own personal video collection.

  • that was amazing luck. lol

  • omg what a FLUKE! lol

  • a miracle is right Bob

  • Someone actually won Split Decision? I cannot believe it! Did anyone else ever win this game?

  • Precious few. I bet a few are STILL trying to figure out how to play it! LOL

  • Bob was always too nice. "I want you to remember this for the rest of your lives, because we have been in the presence of a miracle." lol--irreplaceable!

  • I personally like the fact when a contestant do not understand a pricing game that Bob give them the benefit of the doubt. In other words, he makes sure the contestant's really understands the pricing game. I hope Drew Carey have this much patience as Bob did.

  • Can anyone make out what she is saying at 0:24 where she says where she is from?

  • I thought she said Argentina...

  • I am pretty sure she said Argentina

  • Yep, now that I hear it more clearly, she said Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  • she said shes from argentina but she lives here

  • Wow! Unbelievable

  • An alternate rule to the game was that the 20-second clock was scrapped (so was the button to stop it, of course) and the player was given 3 chances to get it right.

  • At its best, Split Decision was dull; at its worst, it confused the hell out of contestants. I'm glad it's gone, but I loved me some Teresa! :)

  • I miss Bob already.

  • I can't believe in the troubled history of this game, someone actually won it, and with 0 seconds left.

  • Doesn't seem complicated to me. >.>

  • OMG!! Are you serious?! That is amazing! hahah

  • Wow!
