The High School roof ripped off, I heard the roof on Ingles buckled, sheds flew across the Lowes parking lot, cars were destroyed by trees downed on McDonalds, trees were down everywhere, power was out in some places for over a week, an unconfirmed tornado hit the Brasstown community and Caney Fork, Old Cullowhee Road and the Tuckasegee River Valley north of Sylva and Dillsboro was hit by a couple of possible tornadoes. And a funnel cloud was spotted over Dillsboro and Sylva....Crazy!
yea me and my wife were walking down old cullowhee when that thing came from no where, we had a half amile walk to our car. did not think we were going to make it, lucky for us some guys pick us up and took us to our car, or we probably would of gotten hit by lightning or a tree. we drove home and to drive under fallen trees and go off road to get around some during the worse of it
