  • Probably shouldn't be pushing 15psi on a t25 unless you want a reason to buy a new t28 but a decent time for a mostly stock setup

  • @levelgx

Lol, this video is VERY old. I'm long past anything remotely stock on the motor now :) The T25 lasted me 3 years at 15 psi btw...

  • ahhh redlight. hate that!

  • @Viking445

Lol, tell me about it! It happens once in awhile though...

  • Stock t25

  • did the sr have the stock t25? or the t28 turbo?

  • And that would be the difference between slicks and street tires..

  • Fucking right sr20 power lol Too bad he jumped the start would have been a good race

  • I have got to work on my 60 ft I trapped at 116 but couldnt get past 12.89 in my 300z

  • Yeah, it's all about the 60 ft. My run with an 11.95 I only trapped 114mph, but I got a 1.61 60 ft!

  • Do you have a 5 spd? what tires do you run? what rpm do you launch? and what is your hp/tq/weight? not trying top get in your business I just have alot to learn about gettin my car down the track and stop making my car look bad

  • 5 Spd, Mickey Thompson 26" slicks, I launch at 7k (tires at 13psi), and 342whp/336wtq/and the car weighs 2850 with me in it.

  • intersting I ran 273-35-18 street launched at 4k rpm at that time 426tq 442whp car weighs 3350 I need better traction but its debateable wether my axle can handle launching like that

  • Your axles and rear end should hold up just fine, as long as you preload on the line. I have over 400 passes launching the way I do, ha ha.

  • PRELOAD?

  • Preloading is when you take all the slack out of your drivetrain just before launching the car. You do this from creating unnecessary shock to your drivetrain components which will lead to breakage. To preload, I hold the e-brake while inching my way between pre-stage and stage, then stop the car with the e-brake with the clutch pressed in. Then you launch... but don't let off the clutch or put it in neutral while waiting for the lights.

  • Nice car! Stock gears? I have a 98 GT/Cobra Clone, but no local 1/4 mile tack

  • if theres one thing this video shows is that its not about import vs domestics. its about loving cars and having fun with them.

  • finally someone who understands me...

  • FORD = DIet muscle

  • ford and nissan both suck dick and are unreliable/slow

  • what u drive? a honda?! lol!!

  • ya its faster and more reliable

  • lmfao

  • its as simple as slicks vs. no slicks.

  • Wow!!!240's are lighter thats why you won really..put a turbo on a 281 and see what happens...bitch all you want 240 pussies idc..power to weight and torque win races.

  • Lol, you're right it's all about power to weight... so mustangs are a shit ton heavier than my car, and so they HAVE to have a lot more power just to keep up. With my new motor going in, a mustang will have to have about 800hp to keep up.... lol

I've raced and beaten boosted 4.6 mustangs... and won! My 4 Banger can handle more power with the stock bottom end than a GT's modular 4.6....

  • Wow dude...my GT weighs in at 3,120 with the seat delete and full suspension..and yes the sotck bottom end is kinda weak i risked it up to 430rwhp but now i'm running 638rwhp in a modest tune and 100 shot.I just ordered methanol injection so you would get smoked dude..idc what you say my car runs 10.5@130mph all day...you must have forgot there are good mustang drivers out there.Nothing against ur 240sx my bro have a 91 rare coupe with a blacktop SR20DET and its fairly quick..later.

  • Haha, then we should be a good race if you run a 10.5! My car weighs in at 2510lbs with enough gas in it to run all day at the track. And that's with a full interior minus the rear seat. My stock bottom end powered car is an 11 second car, but right now, I'm finally building the motor, and will be putting down at least another 200hp to the wheels, ha ha. I'll be in the 10's, but most likely just a tad slower than a 10.5. Most likely a 10.8 or so, but we'll see... can't count the chickens yet!

  • ford sucks

    ford = saggy, heavy , anemic v8 ....

stock sr 220 hp stock gt 230 hp. ford cant make power without forced induction. gm 350 = best engine .ls2 unsupercharged =400hp vs 281 supercharged = 435 hp "put a turbo on the ls2 bitch"

  • You talk a lot of jibberish man...the cobra actually has 390bhp but yet beats the 6.0 GT0 very heavy GTO by .4 tenths in the 1/4 hmmm?power to weight bitch...a stock GT has 260hp btw you're fucking stupid go back to school and learn somethin.

  • ford sucks, i have stock sr and i can keep up with stock gt rated @ 260hp it is power to weight ratio. ford = no power so dumb shits at the plant have to slap a charger on it...

  • the problem is a ford is actually livable, like semi-usable back seats, spacious interior, and a good size car, my 240 is more of a toy than anything lol, small and uncomfortable, just the way it should be

  • yes but the sr already has forced induction, and you can "keep" up to a stock mustang, where as the mustang is N/A so if they rock the same set up as your cute little sr they'd eat your mountain dew bottle sized engine up.

So shh quiet time for dumbasses

  • if they were the same set up, of course that will be true. but 260 for a v8? cman!!!! thats freaking weak... take the killer bee engine from an s2000 its got half the cylinders, its n/a and in generates 248 hp at the expense of torque but still 248hp.. wanna step it up a notch take the vq35de from the Z , almost 300hp n/a wait thats a bad comparison since the Z is new technology .

  • so instead of comparing it to that ol garbage rustang GT from the 90's ill compare it to the NEW Garbage GT Straigt from the web site "2010 mustang (4.6 LIter soch V8 315hp n/a")= gay. 97 honda nsx 3.0 (NOT 4.6) v6 290 hp...... Theres a reason everybody makes fun of FORD.. CUS IT SUCKS!!! Fix on race day, fix and repair daily, backwards driver return on foot.. GOT it bone head......

  • the cars arent built to their fullest capacity, why doesnt anyone understand that. any car can come from the factory stock with 500 hp. the problem is they wont sell. a small v8 still is more powerful than a large v6. and a v8 isnt built for horsepower theyre built for torque. a car from japan and a car from america have completely different standards. dont shit talk american legends

  • There's other factors you have to look at. The bigger displacement engines have a far BETTER power-band, and are much more streetable. You don't have to rev them to the moon to make the car move.

You can rip on Fords all day long, but there are far more 1500+ hp Mustangs out there than 1500+ hp imports PERIOD.

Why the Import and Domestic kids can't just get a long and respect each other equally, I'll never understand.

  • The Mustang also has much larger displacement to work with. Smaller engines need forced induction to compete in the power area. It is what it is man.

On a side note, Mustangs are heavy as hell which is a downer. I love my friend's Vortech '98 GT but it is not lightweight.

  • did the 240sx jump ?

  • You failed to mention the redlight there too.

  • Yeah I redlit on that run. I still beat him that night, and the times start when the cars tires leave the line. His time didn't start until he left the line. Anyways, that's old news. We both are in the low 12's now, and that's on a non-prepped track...

  • your running at 10 psi without a tune?? (on the mustang). isnt that kind of dangerous for your engine?

  • His car is tuned very poorly is what he meant. It was running very rich! He made the video, not me, lol.

  • ohhh alright

  • aww dont u just love the 240! good all around car! can put down some good times on the track and on the 1320!

cant wait 2 get my sr20

  • Nice stang. nice vid. Music couldn't be much more fitting...

  • time wise the 240sx got ya

  • the bluebird jumped the gun a lil

  • Bluebird? Lol, yeah I jumped the light on that race (and smoked the tires way too long). It's rare, but it happens ;)
