Rabbit grooming Degu

My rabbit doesnt like my degus he trys to kick at them. The degus like him though lol. The rabbit only groomed my degus once.

@buttmodel actuall no, and a Degu isn't concidered a rodent either they are actually closest to the rabbit family. (personally i thought they were closer to the chinchilla family)

I had the idea to house my degu with another species when I had something similar to this happen. I adopted him from this kid and I read all over the place that they were very social animals and one day in Vet class we got new bunnies so I introduced him to them and he took an instant liking. The next week I had him living with a misfit guinea pig and they've been happy ever since.

My degu, Cooter, and my two guinea pigs used to groom each other and I love this video! My degu died almost 2 months ago and I remember him squeaking in indignation like this when the gpigs discovered his tail and ears and thought they were for nibbling on. Geez, I miss my little guy but watching videos like this make me smile as it brings back many memories....

So cute!! I think I have a Degu. We were driving down the road, and a little animal was laying in the middle of the opposite lane. We picked him up, I thought he was dying. On his back, with his feet twitching. A few hours later he was sitting up!! I guess I have a new pet. Now to get his supplies, etc.

I doubt the rabbit actually bit the degu's ear... degus are naturally very vocal and he was probably not impressed with his ears being cleaned... you should hear mine when there is new food in the cage, you would swear some thing was trying to kill him, lol

That degu must have tasty ears! I have a rabbit that runs around my degus cage but my degus squeel at him and i have a feeling they would bite him to pieces if put together. I so wish they would be like your's! so cute!
