@GIocks i wont to tell everyone here in this little blog that these guys suck ive caut bigger gliath grouper than what they are catching with my brother capt ben chancey this is nothing compared to what i catch and we use a biger rod and real just for that type of fishing
@kingsliz20 I'll just say that using heavier tackle, custom made rods, & top of the line Avet Reels (PAID BY THE SPONSORS), it's a lot easier to catch bigger fish than these. In fact, it's almost an over kill. And the reason why he needs that kind of tackle is to guarantee (TO KEEP HIS PROMISES) that everyone who pays for his services will "LAND" a fish. What do you think it's easier? To kill a bear with a shotgun, or a deer with a bow & arrow? A sport with a guaranteed outcome it's not a sport!

Shouldn't you hold the Goliath Grouper by the mouth not the gill. As heavy as the grouper is it may injure the gills. A boga grip is the way to go. Easy on you and easy on the fish.
@hugebassfishing Just to clarify. The rod is a Shimano Trevala TVC-60H Braided line weight 65-200LB. The reel is an Accurate Boss Magnum 870 2-speed spooled with 95LB braid. Hope this helps.
I can't give out his phone # just like that without asking him 1st, but if you want to send me a private message (email) with your phone # & I will be more than happy to forward it to Capt, Bill, for him to contact you.
It was funny how there were like 12 boats fishing the wreck, the last boat to arrive, the first 1 to leave, & the only boat to land fish. We hooked 9 Goliaths, landed 4, & the 5 we lost were over 350 lbs., & our tackle was of 200# class!!!
hey was this a guide you paid or a friend? if its a guide i would thank you if you could get me his number, i live in miami, and the charters i've been to suck..
