I helped run a 'give and take' free stall on my local market for seven years and it certainly does work, we always ended up with more goods than we started out with!
He makes sense and it would be a wonderful world if everyone did this but unfortunately thats not how things are or ever will be. I hate to be a bummer on it but im just being honest. There is way too much corruption, greedy, and mean people more than there are nice and giving ones..the best you can do its with your friends and family but that's not really outreaching far. I wouldn't want to be taken advantage of which would happen. I have given to people but most are unappreciative which is sad
Thanks for the comment today; we seem to be in the "swing of things" together in a way. Interesting how that happened :-0 Now if only we can make a bit of a difference!
Peace and Love
P.S. let Starrjaded know I am thinking of her and her loved ones... I hope it works out for her soon!
thankyou so much for using your gift to share this beautiful the gift series, i've passed it on along to many other people, its truly great. thankyou so much! thank you!
that is a very reasonable request cheri... i will watch and listen very carefully. and i will not dismiss any of it. i want to know why this Is important to you. i have a video series coming up for fromsoiltosoul soon and it will address many issues by showing how people are responding to them through their actions and how i'm participating.
Definitely gonna check it out. I could use some inspiration. I believe I experienced a true nervous breakdown this week. I reckon the weight of EVERYTHING became a bit more than I could bear. I never felt so alone, hopeless, empty, beaten, defeated, you name it. It was actually kinda frightening, but I'm bouncing back, no where to go but up after you've hit the bottom, right????
I suppose I should read his stuff before I provide an opinion. But he certainly sounds like one more on the list of post modern philosophers who are for shutting the paradigm down. Thanks for the info. I'll read his stuff.
I'm watching him. I like the whole idea of a gift economy. My friend Jennifer and I have had a little bit of that going on the past couple of years. She helps me with this, I help her with that. It all evens out in the end.

What is the difference between a gift economy and a socialist economy?
I heard that they were the same thing.
