Just as an update to everyone regarding Kennedy's progress- she is doing GREAT- I've been fostering her since Jan.1 and her neck wound has healed remarkably well, she's catching up on a lot of sleep, but also becoming more confident walking around the neighborhood and loves being mothered by my black lab/pit rescue dog. She does have skin allergies but she is doing remarkably well and surrounded by a lot of love~ Thank you for your donations and support!

People who abuse animals, adults and children alike, should have a mandatory felony record that they'll have to explain to every employer and potential spouse who does a background check for the rest of their lives.
How can that dog live there for a year and no one take her home? This is really sad. I found a homeless dog tied to the tree once at christmas time and in the instant I did, I did something about it. We have the RSPCA in the UK, they're there. Crumbs I even took a injured pheasant to the Vets....

I would like to know if anyone knows what kind of dog she is? I ask because she is a carbon copy of my dog, the whole face, ears, eyes, nose and everything is exact and including the size. My dog was also a rescue and the vets did not know what she is, so I am hoping someone knows what this dog is so I may know what mine is as well. :)
@srhsarah1 You know they have DNA tests for dogs now . . . I don't know how effective they are, and cost about 75 bucks more or less. They probably can't really pinpoint the breed mix unless you spend bigger money, for for that you'd probably only get the same breed ideas that you already suspect.
It's not that simple~ she was around our campus scavenging for food but we didn't know where she lived- we fed and tried to catch her but she would run away- even on a broken leg- until this fall when I saw her under one of our classrooms in the crawl space- I fed her, but each time I reached out to touch her, she ran away- I called several rescues and the shelters, but no one could take her until I discovered Eldad at Hope for paws and he came, rescued and took her to the vet.

I am Paige, and our school did the best we could to care for her until we found Eldad who could rescue her and not put her down. Several of us fed her regularly and tried to catch her but she would never come to us- We made several phone calls but rescues couldn't take her in and the pound told us they would put her down because of her injuries- I then found Eldad who rescued her- several teachers have donated to her medical care- Thank you for your donation towards her care.
What bothers me most is, she used to belong to somebody at some point in time. My heart breaks everyday with the amount of discarded animals I see. I am thankful that some people do care.

One of my recurring fantasies is to hit a lotto somewhere--and then give huge chunks of it to those angels in this world who save abused and abandoned animals and fund a state-of-the-art shelter. Sweet little babies like Kennedy would be housed for their lifetimes if necessary...safe, warm, well fed and above all, loved.
Kennedy is the sweetest angel and deserves only a wonderful life, forever, as they all do, including the cows, chickens, and so on. Thank you for all your work and to all the foster homes too. People are certainly a sorry lot if these wonderful beings can be out their fending for themselves in our world. Love and all good things to you from now on, Kennedy.
